Kitty Barrera: Me encantaron mis lápices para las manualidades en tela que hago. El producto llegó días después de lo indicado. Deberían mejorar el empaque para entrega ya que la caja metálica llegó doblada por la manipulación del traslado

LadySeshiiria: I'm hoping to get more products from this brand. I've never been disappointed! I've gone my whole life as the poor kid with just copy paper and a school pencil which is fine and all for starters but getting quality supplies really makes a difference. That's the thing people tell you supplies don't make the artist, and what they mean here is that you need to have skills but supplies help make an artist better because there are techniques, styles, or things you cannot achieve with cheap supplies. It's very much worth the money to spend on Derwent supplies. The a a great price for the quality, the graphite is smooth, consistent, and the difference in the hardness or softness of the graphite helps speed up the drawing process more. Especially since you don't have to layer as much unlike if you're only using a number 2 pencil. They are easy to use and tons of tutorials online to show you have to use the array of darkness if you're new to art. The tin is a great storage unit for me. When I was in highschool everything got jammed into a zipper pouch which isn't healthy for supplies, having a ton is incredibly helpful. 10/10 would buy again. I really want to get the charcoal, graphitint,...

Coopers_HawkCoopers_Hawk: Overall, I’m very pleased with these pencils. For all the time I’ve had them, I can’t really comment on how they do by themselves as I’ve always used them with water. They do take some practice to use to their full potential (and, as such, may be difficult for the beginner) but really work well when water is applied. They are ideal for doing landscapes in the US Southwest and similar environments. The attached sketchbook work shows a late summer scene on a trip up Alaska’s Dalton Highway before the taiga starts gradually transitioning to tundra. I did use two shades of green (on the shoulders of the road) from Derwent’s now-discontinued Aquatone sticks to achieve some shades of green I just couldn’t figure out how to obtain with the Graphitint pencils, though that ’s a lack of knowledge on my part when it comes to mixing colors. I’ve found that one needs to work carefully to avoid the grainy texture unless that’s the effect one wants/needs in the finished product.

Linda A.: These are more muted tones, not so much bright or neon.
I have a small set of the Graphitint half-pan paints, which I really love. The pencils are just a little different, in a good way.
I will be experimenting more with these.
Highly recommend

Evening Iris: These tinted graphite pencils are quite interesting. They are like nothing else. You will need a trained touch with these as they deliver a lot of graphite quickly and easily. The best way to understand these is to experience them. I suggest first swatching on cold and/or hot press watercolor paper. Create 2" squares going dark to light (north-south) with an east-west/back and forth motion. Then, when you have all 24 pencils swatched out, take a moist (becareful of too much water!!) brush and moisten the swatch on one half (going north-south) and drag some of it out into the white margin so you can clearly see the color tint alone after it dries. These are a unique experience and will take a little getting used to so you become comfortable and efficient with them. I can definitely see these for animal (fur) portraiture and plein aire. After that is a matter of taste and technique.

Six Anne MercerSix Anne Mercer: I wasn't sure about these. The reviews were so all over the place that I really wasn't sure what I was getting. I have the 24 tin of Derwent watercolor pencils which I haven't used much but when I have I've really liked them. Strangely (and maybe I wasn't using enough water) it seemed like the watercolor pencils didn't activate with water as well as these graphite ones. I used them for both of my horse pictures and used water with one but left the other dry. Very subtle I can see the different colors of black and Grey's I used on the horses eye picture. I used watercolor to frame it and got a little too crazy so that really takes away from it.
The one major thing I was really surprised by was how soft these are. They're really hard to get a good sharp point on and go on so soft that it's impossible to get a thin line. I even wrote next to my messy swatch how soft I thought they were. Softer than say...crayons. Way softer. So keep that in mind.
I was also surprised how much they activated and broke down with water and brush. The brown horse activated so much in it's mane that I even went back over it to add strands of hair. But since I used Morse bold lines and more lines...
