KevanR: It's large and seems sturdy enough but it does seem to bend and move a lot in the wind if holding it only at the base. Not awe inspiring but I've certainly had worse.

ChrisChris: Have used this umbrella maybe 2 or 3 times since I got it. First good rain today (9/8/23) with some wind and it immediately popped inside out and one of the ribs broke.

Update: 9/26/32 - changing my review from 2 stars to 4 because Rainella customer service contacted me and sent a replacement umbrella with a tip to help avoid the ribs failing during high winds. Suggested using the auto collapsing feature instead of manually closing the umbrella when it pops inside out during high winds. Very satisfied with customer service. I really like this to begin with for the size and auto features.

Kimberly: This product is very cute. My mom recently had her stolen and loves rainbows. This one is big enough to cover you from the rain even as an adult but small enough to fit under your car seat which is perfect for how I store things in my car. For me if I can't fit the umbrella fully under my seat where I can grab it quick then it doesn't work well for me

Travis W.: Upon arrival and first open, one of the spokes was pinching some of the fabric and I had to pull it free. I guess it having been like that bent the spoke a bit (I was sure to be gentle freeing the fabric) so it looks a little bit wonky in one small spot because that spoke bends a little oddly now.

I've yet to have an opportunity to actually use this in the rain, but it is a beautiful umbrella and my wife and kid love rainbows, so I decided to get the rainbow color to make them smile, and to not just be the boring IT guy at my work :)

Stephanie N.: I don’t like buying garbage and that’s what this product is - garbage. I researched a ton of different umbrellas before buying this one. I was looking for a quality option that would last for years. I didn’t want a flimsy, umbrella that would break easily and need to be replaced every year. This one had pretty good reviews, it’s heavy - suggesting quality parts and construction. It looks great. I opened it no problem. Then when I went to close it, the handle slipped out of my hand and it re-opened by accident. That broke the umbrella. All it did was re-open. It didn’t drop. I was following the manufacturer instructions for how to close it properly and still it broke. The first time I used it. I communicated this to the seller. I sent them a video demonstrating that it was broken. They confirmed that it was broken and that I should close it properly, then stopped responding to my messages. No offer to fix it, not an offer for a replacement nor even a discount to buy a replacement. That brand new umbrella, opened once, is now in the trash. Will never purchase another umbrella from this company. Terrible product. Terrible service.

Holly H.: First, let me say that I love this umbrella. It's sturdy, compact, and has a huge canopy when opened. (I want something that's going to cover me AND my backpack, while commuting!) After buying one 5 years ago, I decided it was getting a bit hard to close, and decided to replace it with the same thing.

Well, the difference between the one I bought 5 years ago, and the one I just received today, is an "improvement" made to the strap that holds it closed. The original one I got had a Velcro closure. This one new has a snap button.

Now, granted -- one of the main reasons I'm replacing the old one is that over time the Velcro closure doesn't hold as well as it used to. But, my problem with the snap closure is that it's much less forgiving. Even trying it out in dry conditions, it took a major effort to get the umbrella compact enough for the strap to reach around it and allow it to actually snap closed. I just can't imagine doing that with it when it's wet from rain, and I'm in a hurry! (And don't want to get really wet wrestling with a wet umbrella.) Maybe it's that the strap is just too short, and too optimized to close when the umbrella is perfectly folded -- which,...
