J. R. Perkins: I think Yetis are overpriced, so I wanted to try a cheaper alternative. I think the cup works as well as a Yeti, but the cap needs a redesign. Coffee and other liquids get under the slider, and make a sticky mess, and you can't remove the slider to clean it without breaking the retention tabs. So I wound up buying a Yeti lid to use on it. No savings there!

Bruce In IRBBruce In IRB: Took this half way around the world to South Africa and was pleased with how it kept items cold/hot. Now let's talk about the lid.
What it does well
1. Keep liquids from spilling. there are silicon seals over the drink and vent holes which seal tightly enough to keep the liquid from draining out even when inverted 180 degrees.
What it doesn't do well
1. Drink opening is either too small or the vent hole isn't big enough, but takes several seconds to get a decent amount of liquid in you mouth.
2. NO EASY WAY TO CLEAN. If you use it for coffee or tea, the area between the lid cover and the lid is inaccessible and gets gross over time with dried coffee/tea. There does not appear to be an easy way to remove it (self locking tabs) so soaking in bleach is the only viable method and even that is difficult. Since I was traveling, I didn't want to try pry the cover off for fear of breaking it but now that I'm back home may take a stab at it.
