Nancy OConnor: I purchased a Garmin on my trip from Oregon to Florida. The Garmin was dangerous to use. So many errors made it unsafe to rely on. I returned it to Walmart when I reached Florida. However, I needed another gps in order to get around Florida destinations so I ordered this gps from Amazon. I mastered how to use it in different situations and ultimately I have been able to manuver northern Florida quite well. I am pleased with it's performance, especially because this gps cost was only 30% of the Garmin.

lazy Kat: I had purchased this unit to replace my Garmin that had died. My sense of directions stinks so I really rely on my GPS. I received this unit just before my trip to PA from SC. this unit has a few more bells and whistles than my old unit, so there was a slight learning curve. there were two things I really liked about this unit. first it gives you a voice notification when you are approaching a traffic camera, and second when I hit a huge traffic jam in VA, it automatically took me off the interstate, at first I was a little concerned because I was going through some very rural areas. I decided to just relax and follow the instructions I was being given. I'm so happy I did, this unit not only got me out of a bad interstate traffic jam, but, it got me to my destination around the same amount of time it would have taken me without traffic on I-95. same thing happened when I was coming home to SC. the unit had to reroute me off the interstate midway through NC, and got me home in great time. but the thing I'm really impressed with is this companies customer service. about a month ago, I began to receive an error message on my unit. after a few emails back and forth, trying to fix the...

James Dout: At first I had trouble entering a destination and I was able try different thing and finally figured out how to enter an address. When entering a destination you must make sure the top line says United States only. This will let you enter a city and street address. It has some other minor issues that I have not figured as of yet and that is why I gave it only 4 stars, I used it on my return trip from Pennsylavania to California and it worked very well, except for detours but that was not the fault of the unit. I really liked that at the top of the screen it showed which lane you need to be in to make the proper exit

matendie: Well, its what you think. Its cheap. It almost works like a real GPS. Major flaws:
1. At random, unexpectedly throws error message while navigating, and locks up. Needs reboot after that.
2. If you turn it on while driving, it will loose its mind and never get your actual location. Need to wait still for it to get satellites before driving.
3. Backlighting is not auto adjusting for dusk or night driving. In gps mode backlight slider does nothing. Again you need to turn gps off, go to external menu and manual adjust it, then enter back into gps and start over your route.
4. Lock nuts become loose and do not hold this unit in place, just from driving vibrations.
5. Search does not find major retailers by name. It finds addresses but nothing else, you have to find things manually on the map.
6. If you use your Google Maps on your phone and you like it, this is a serious step down.

Why do if not return it? I need it for when my phone has no reception while camping in the mountains. In this case better than nothing.

TravelerTraveler: The media could not be loaded.  For travel from the United States through the Balkan RV, it is very good in the country, we have decided to purchase a complete navigation, because the usual APP navigation on the phone gives us too many errors and can't be used for a few days.

The navigation system is delivered quickly and well-packaged. The suction cup can be easily installed in a car, and even the bulge, manhole cover, etc. can be used to keep the navigation system in place. By adjusting, Navi can be well adjusted and neat.

The menu is clear and easy to read. There are many small features like:
Calculator
Video and photo gallery
game
Unit converter
FM radio, etc.
This is actually self-evident.

The core function (navigation) can be called up using the speed dial buttons on the left edge of the screen, and the GPS signal is always there. By selecting the point "Destination", you can call up the menu by entering the destination address, searching for points of interest or making further settings.
