ipod user: Have had some other GPS units that are easier to use. I wanted a bigger screen but ease of use was not there and upgrades as others. I have relegated this to being an emergency backup not my primary.

Curvygal64: I bought this as a first time sat nav user. It's taken me some length of time to get around to my review, mainly because I wanted to use it for a while first. I don't like the holder. That's a real bugbear for me. It takes me ages to attach the sat nav to it. From a personal point of view I find it difficult and annoying. Way too fiddly. I keep the cable in the car because on my first longer journey since buying it (one hour there, one hour back and the sat nav switched off inbetween) it was running out of charge. It was fully charged before we left that day. On another journey, it tried to tell me to turn right on a big traffic light junction which I already knew that you could no longer turn right on. That could have been a disaster for anyone who didn't know. I like the voice to tell me which roads I'm on. If you want that option, you get the robotic voice, not the natural one. No biggy but the pronunciations can be a bit weird. The unit itself is quite heavy but it's a nice sized screen. Loads of options for your journey. Comes with a velvety case to put it in. It's a bead and loop closure. My bead fell off after a couple of times. I have heard about sat navs sending you all...

clark a scates: I love the screen, the size of this GPS.........but mine, I don't know about yours, has a tiny misbehaving person inside of it. If you are driving using it to find a location you want, don't take the " detour " or the next street over. Because it will scream " recalculating " but never recalculate. It gets mad, insist you turn around, go back home, then restart the route. What was " funny, but made me mad", I did this with a route I already knew. I inserted it into the GPS, took a street off of the GPS plotted route, " Bang ", the little person inside of the GPS got mad, kept screaming go back home, turn around, I didn't turn around. But wait, as I drove to where I knew my route should end, the little " Imp " inside of the GPS said " you have arrive at your destination! I am disappointed in this product. I had hoped, since it was hard finding good large screen GPS's that was a good basic. GPS, like some of the Garmin's or Magellan's, without the bells and whistles, I was wrong, at least with this one I got. I am not the " return " kind of person, but I do let my wallet do the talking, I change who I shop with and where I shop, to get that specific product that I need or want. I...

Mr. R. Crombie: Had a built in Garmin in my Seat Mii, but Garmin no longer supply updates. Was looking for a new SatNav as I do a few longer journeys. After a lot of research., Plumped for the NavPal. I have found the screen as good as the Garmin and fairly easy to navigate round the system. There are a few glitches however. Once switched off it reverts to bringing back the speed camera warnings even if they are switched off, which could be a problem travelling to France and Spain if you forget to disable them at the start of every journey, as speed camera detection is banned in both countries.. Sort from that, in the short time I have had it, I have found it to be fairly easy to use and as good as the Garmin. It was described as 2022 map updates, but I would think that it was mid 2021 last updated as I have found roundabouts about 9 months old are not yet on the system.

MiguelMiguel: It's not perfect but at this price, it's very good and definitely unbeatable!
My unit came in a well done packaging with US map (and Mexico and Canada's map inside the US folder) pre-installed in the unit. I'm only a business visitor here in the US so I have requested for European maps since I live there. They have sent me a link to download Europe's map and I have made a mistake of using a 200gb microSD card. The unit can detect and use the maps inside the SD card but it's not powering ON when the SD card is inserted. I have contacted them and they told me to use a 16gb SD card instead, I did that and the power ON problem was solved. I'm not sure why it didn't work with the bigger capacity card but as far as I know, small and big capacity SD cards uses different file system. Unfortunately, this issue was not written in any manual they have provided.
Stability wise, it is very stable. I have seen complaints in some reviews that it was loose or falling down but mine is not, the suction woks well and sometimes it's actually hard to remove it from the wind screen. I also did not find any issue leaving it under the sun (34 degC) for a long time.
The US maps though...

Hristo Barakov: The Outside of the Device:
The Pen for the touch screen, that you will likely never use is located on the back of the device.
When installing the device on the suction cup, make sure you hard press the device down while holding the arm until you hear/feel it lock firmly in place. Otherwise the device is NOT properly installed on your windscreen and IT WILL FALL as you drive.
The car charges is rather flimsy, but it works.
The Inside:
Software: I will ignore all of the ADD ONS, since I bought it for the sat nav function alone.
The SATNAV function is fidley and there is a huge need for improvement on a lot of the aspects of how the device works.
PROS: Works Lag Free almost all of the time
Good display even when it's sunny
Doesn't overheat unless you leave the sun to shine directly on it
It has battery that does it's job
Touch screen works good
Able to plan a route and display that route waypoints to you, so you see all locations
Good voice navigation
CONS: Looking for POST CODE is not obvious and requires multiple clicks to do it.
If the device warns you at any points of a restriction and you click REJECT, THE DEVICE WILL...

Mark Panger: I bought the NAVPAL because on a couple of recent cross country trips I had no cell signal for an extended period of time, consequently no data being fed to my directions.
This may be unfair but I am making my comparison against Google maps versus another GPS navigation device.
The good news is that the NAVPAL will get you to your destination, the bad news is there may be confusing directions on occasion. I am writing this at the end of a 2500 mile round trip from MN to Virginia.
In one case I was brought to an intersection on the highway and NAVPAL said go north and Google maps that go south. Since my intended destination was south I chose south. I didn't have time in that moment to see where NAVPAL was going to take me on the northern route but what I did notice was that after it recalculated my southern route the arrival time was shortened. That indicated to me that Google maps was correct.
This morning (2/22/2022) driving from the west on I74 into Indianapolis NAVPAL was going to have me drive through the center of the city during rush hour. Google maps was routing me around the city on the north side. Again looking at the arrival time...
