David R Liberato: Just like it says folk; no problems, no bleeding, and no infection if you follow the directions and clean the area three times a day. The earring does not come loose as I had worried nor does it catch on my hair. Go for it!
This is my second time around with this kit. Used it three months ago when I pierced my partners ears. That time it came with instructions including how long you needed to wear the “trainer” studs before you could exchange them for other earrings. Also how long you needed to treat with disinfectant after piercing. This time we received no instructions on the use of the product and when I punched it together it did not come apart as it should. The plastic stuck to the stud and the back did not release. Worst part is the misfire caused movement and the hole was too low. Fortunately my wife is fearless and pushed the earring through her lobe in the desired spot manually. This time around this product gets one star. My wife gets 5.

HJR: I was excited but scared to try piercing a third hole in my lobes. My biggest worries were not completing the piercing hole or having a diagonal hole, but there was no need for concern. The gun is easy to use and it perfectly lines up the backing with the earring. With a small amount of pressure, the trigger engaged and my ears were pierced before I knew it. Then the plastic place holders fell right off the earring. It felt like a pinch and that lasted about 30 minutes. Now, it's two days later and my lobes are slightly sore to the touch right around the site, but they are healing nicely. I'm also applying Inverness After Piercing Ear Care Solution three times a day to keep them clean. Best of all - no allergic reaction. The earrings must be hypoallergenic, as I am allergic to nickel and my ears would react within 24 hours if there's any present. All in all, this was so worth it, and I'm glad I did it! If I ever decide on another piercing, I'll definitely buy this kit again.
If you decide to use this kit, make sure to wash your hands and fingertips well and then thoroughly clean your piercing location (front and back) with alcohol wipes right before piercing to prevent...
