Item bought: 2 Pack 3.8Ah DC9096 Battery..
So I was iffy in buying it because some reviews said the batteries were ok others said no or they just happen to get a defective battery. I also just wanted a battery cheaper but guess thats not reality. I don't think its a good seller if they keep having to give customers replacements for defective batteries. That or the battery is just not good to begin with because the one I got lasted a good 20 seconds. I don't like hassling back and forth with sellers online about replacements. I'd just rather have a good working battery the first go around. If I want to hassle with replacements I'm just gonna go to my local Home depot or Lowes. That way in my mind if there is any problem its easy to just walk into the store and return it (In my case it's always easier in person with this type of product). But whoever is looking to buy this the choice is still up to you. Me, I just wanted a working battery the first time round. If thats you too don't waste your time with this product. Maybe I'll check if the dewalt on amazon are legit or not we'll see. Thats more money to risk...Also forgot to mention I tried this with my Dewalt...

I saw some really negative reviews, and some really positive ones. So, I was a little nervous to buy these. Still, a new battery from Dewalt is as expensive as a whole new drill, so I took a chance. I haven't had any complaints at all. I don't remember what the battery life was like on the OEM; that was 14 years ago. What I do know is: these have good power when I drill holes and remove old screws from hard lumber; I have never drained the whole battery in less than a few hours; and they charge fairly quickly. I have no regrets about this purchase, and I am quite happy to have my drills (impact and regular) working well again.

I spent like $80 for a DeWalt battery that lasted less than 4 months and quit taking a charge. I bought these two batteries for half the price and so far, ONE of them has lasted longer than the DeWalt. So I'd say mission accomplished as far as saving money. My only complaint is that they don't fit the charger exactly, however they will take the charge in the original Dewalt charger. I just have to push them down a little until the red charge light starts blinking. Other than that, this is a great money saving replacement for DeWalt.
