AlanAlan: These lightbulbs were great to add as decoration for my room. Makes certain materials/colors glow but not very brightly (picture seems brighter than in person.) Regardless, these are still some good blacklight bulbs and I'm sure it could make specially designed blacklight paints/items glow better.

AshleyAshley: We used 1 of these on our front porch for Halloween. Alone it isn’t very bright, but it does a great job at illuminating neon and light colors. We had bright green and orange “spider webs” all over the porch that looked awesome with this light. In the pictures I placed a sheer white curtain over the light fixture and it really brought out the light. These are satisfactory for the money, but not as good as a classic black light that will light every spec of fuzz.

Olivier Bauer Simon: My last LED blacklight--a BPA19--was truly a wonder to behold. Its color, though pure and deep as the night-shores of forbidden Carcossa, nonetheless possessed an uncanny brilliance which often comforted me on long days after work, as i sucked on my ebony pipe and contemplated dark riddles of existence.
Alas, nothing lasts forever--not even LEDs! After nigh two decades of diligent service my BPA19 fell ill, flickering on and off, increasingly off--until sadly it would light no more. Collecting myself from an understandable access of loss and regret, i had no option but to take to the barbaric Internet--the so-called "amazon-dot-com"--in search of a replacement.
Onforu's GY9UV appeared to be a promising successor to my cherished, though sadly deceased, UV bulb. Its form factor appeared graceful; its price, seductive. Unfortunately, its performance falls short of the admittedly high standard set by the namelessly great Feit engineers of distant antiquity.
The first thing I noticed about the GY9UV was that it was significantly--though not drastically--bulkier than the BPA19, similar to the difference in size between an old 200W incandescent and a 60W. This...
