HeatherO: Replacing zapper not made anymore. Requirements - Telescoping handle, battery operated, and sturdy. It is excellent but not sturdy. The 3 clear plastic pieces between the metal screens are broken so paddle is kind of floppy. But it still works.

For the first time in all the electric fly-switters I've owned over the years -- Alas and alack, most manufacturers of these devices seem to be wedded to the tennis racket paradigm, and have been for at least three 30 years! -- a slightly oblong swatting surface, allowing one to get those pesky bugs in the corners. Thanx, Black Flag, for this technological innovation! 💋

The next technological advancement, a head that swivels, is something I've never even thought of! One might prefer a more elegant design that doesn't involve adjusting a thumb screw; but this is another first.

Speaking of thumb screws, one might expect to have one included with the unit... Furthermore, when I explored the Chinglish instructions on the package, I found them severely lacking. Now, I'm quite adept at understanding Chinglish from my daze traveling with the Chinese Energetic Medicine Show, with it's Chinglish-speaking founder. Laurajane: We had problems with wasps around and in our pool. I didn't use this for the pool but it did work well for the wasps around the pool and the hummingbird feeders.

Alan: El producto aparentemente llega bien, sin embargo al querer introducir las baterías AA me encuentro con que la abertura queda muy pequeña y es necesario empujarla al punto que te lastimas los dedos para lograr meterla... y peor para sacarlas de ahí, es algo que sólo se logra con un desarmador o algo similar.
En cuanto a la rotación, tiene una perilla para regular la presión sobre el eje, sin embargo se siente muy inestable y no queda otra opción que estar girando la perilla para cambiar el ángulo. Tengo una raqueta similar de mejor calidad y a un mejor precio que compré en el mercado.
