kenr: This is the second time I have bought these. The first set. I used all day, everyday. But I dropped one and it stopped working. I wore out the second one. It actually still works 4 years later. But it looses the change within 20 minutes.
The new ones work all day and I put them on the charger all night.
They work in all my 18 volt tools and my 18 volt radio.
My truck battery died once and I hooked up one to the truck battery. I let it set for 30 minutes. Came back and my truck fired up. I don't recommend it. There not made to jump start vehicles. But I was in a pinch.
Worth every penny.
I just wish they had a place to send my old batteries.
I hate to just toss them into the trash.

Jon G: The media could not be loaded.  I purchased a 2 pack of these 6.0 AH batteries as backups. I had them both fully charged. I go to use the 1 today (for the 1st time) in my oscillator. I was cutting out a 7" hole in 1/4" plywood. Before I got the hole cut out, the battery died. Man, was I upset. I plugged the battery into my charger grabbed a ryobi battery and finished my hole. After about 2 hours, I go to check on the 6.0ah battery and it never charged. I have the red wave light which indicates a defective battery.
Upon actually taking the time to research and shop around. I realized that Home depot has a ryobi deal (2) 4.0ah batteries for $99 and get (2) for free. 4 actual ryobi batteries for $100......sign me up. BTW, if they don't have the deal when you try, don't worry. It will be around again.

Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded.  Tight on the clips holding it to the tool. I suspect that will loosen over time.

Update: Now after probably 100 cycles, the clip is still an issue and the battery is no longer functioning as it should. It will work for a short time and then seem dead. But put it on the charger an it says full. It can take up to 10 times reloading into tools or the charger to get a change. My 6+ year old 2.0 mah is outperforming this battery in terms of reliability, loading, charging, and available power.

Peter: So far so good. Battery slides in just fine (little bit of tightness) and holds. Works perfectly with my Ryobi impact driver and ratchet wrench. Worked well on the Ryobi brand charger as well. Will check back after a few months.

bruceindfw: I used both of these batteries for a few hours each without any issues. Remember that these are similar to the Ryobi 18V Lithium batteries - not the Lithium+ HP batteries. Thus, they don't have as much runtime as the newer Ryobi batteries and they don't have the charge level light indicators, but they still work well - at a much lower cost. The other factor to consider about these batteries is that the warranty is probably only as good for 1 year or as long as the vendor remains available through Amazon - whichever is shorter. Compare that with the Ryobi 3yr warranty on tools and batteries. I still think these are a good value but will update my review later if anything changes.
