It does get stuck sometimes and you have t just nudge the card through but that ISN’T often

This is a GREAT addition to family board games night, PERFECt for those that are younger, senior citizens may find this handy that have arthritis and shuffling cards is tougher. Would be a great thing for a senior citizen care home for their bridge nights.

I will be buying another one as i would like to give it as a gift to someone with a card game.

IF the cards are really bent and a snag in card it may effect how it feeds through. Our UNO card set is like that and its still feeds the cards through but does get stuck and need the nudge.

It is a louder sound when shuffling so we found if we were playing a late game and needed to be quieter this is a loud machine when shuffling BUT its showing its working.

It DOES take a lot of batteries so have on hand as DOES NOT COME WITH THEM

AniAni: Ordered two, both working fine. However turned one of them have the battery cap or whatever you call them missing. It was a shame as well since unfortunately that one is the one I gave to a family member for Christmas, which we discovered during the presents unwrapping. I can’t be bother to return this all the way to the US to get a replacement or a refund because with Covid happening, it will take a long time.
Usability: this can be used with 1 deck or 2 deck. If using 2 decks sometimes cards get stuck, but overall it’s fine because you can fix them quickly. This machine is nice because it’s automatic, since most of the card shufflers are manual. Just be mindful that it makes quite some noise, just have to get used to it.

Michael: Very easy to use and works really well. Put the cards in each side press the button and remove your cards. Super simple super fast, saves you from ruining the cards when shuffling and gives you more time to play the game instead of wasting time shuffling way in your hands.

Autumn Witch: For the money I have to say this is a really nice shuffler. I have a few other ones that are cheaper and I can't stand them.

This model is the most quiet electric shuffler I have seen for under 50.00. It also has great grab and quite often the cards move one card at a time. You will find the cheaper ones don't have such a great grab function.

Even though the finish is wood coloured plastic it looks rather nice compared to plain old, boring plastic.

It is also VERY fast, never seen a faster shuffler except the ones they actually use in high-end casinos. And sadly the side effect of this is why it doesn't get five stars. Due to the high speed and open carriage every once in a while a card will "eject" and fly away. This can result in a damaged card or a missing card if you are not paying attention.

So I give this shuffler and easy 4.5 stars (B+/A-) and you won't find a better one for the money.

M. Hoyle: If you are simply looking for an automatic card shuffler that does what it advertises, look no further.

I have never used any other card shufflers so I can't compare it to higher priced models. With this one, you cut the deck, put 1/2 in one side and the other 1/2 in the other, press on the lever, watch as the cards are shuffled, 1 card upon another, until the deck is complete. Then you slide out the clear deck holder that is place over top of the lever...and you have your cards. You mainly need to make sure you have the deck as close to 1/2 and 1/2 as possible.

Drawbacks....this product makes a lot of noise. I personally am not the type of person to care about this. I bought it for it's practicality. But everyone else at the card table complains about it, lol. It's often compared to a weed-eater or a remote control toy car. By the end of the night (and now before we even start) most people at the table want me to put it away. Let it be noted however that they are very traditional and would rather shuffle by hand anyway and also don't really understand the advantages of using an automatic card shuffler (less work having to shuffle and getting a more complete...

ADRPRO: IMPORTANT UPDATE: After going through a few of these from different sellers, DO NOT BUY the ones that take AA batteries. There is just not enough oomph to keep the thing running right. I don't know what it is exactly, but the AA ones will eventually start feeding unevenly. Eventually, we had to stack 1 1/2 decks on one side and 1/2 on the other.

HOWEVER, do buy the one that uses C batteries. Look around Amazon until you find it. These have lots of oomph and have been working great from much longer than the AA ones.

I rated this a 4 because it is really a great convenience when you play multi-deck card games. Everyone in our card group loves it. Another benefit is it prolongs the life of the cards (this machine can't tear up cards). Consider that when you buy a game like Five Crowns where you can't just buy a new deck of cards very easily or cheaply.

But the reason it lost a point in my rating is this: these things will not work for the max. number of decks listed. They are the right size for the decks, but the compartment that catches the cards fills up and when it gets too high, the cards start to jam up. The solution is to...

Captain1k: You can't beat this item for the price it's offered at. I liked this one because it had wood pieces to it which made it look a little sturdier than other all plastic types. The wood is not actually solid wood. It is particle board coated with a wood looking contact paper. The rest of the construction is all plastic. However, it does do a pretty good job at shuffling cards. Sure, it gets hang ups and sometimes the cards get stuck but that's nothing a little shimmy can't fix. I usually just tap the top and shimmy the plastic tray and the cards all fall into place. Show me a non-professional cheap card shuffler that doesn't get hang ups sometimes! It takes 4 AA batteries (not included). Over all it's well worth the money and I do recommend it.
