GBS: There's a LOT of stuff packed into this little black box. It's really quite amazing. Once you take a few things out, it's practically impossible to get everything back in so the box can close. Fortunately, I have another similar little box.

The pen, flashlight, screw drivers, spoon, rope bracelet, and saw are all of reasonable quality.

I carry a $10 spring blade knife that is wayyy better than what's included in the kit, but it would probably be OK in a pinch. The compass did find north, albeit a bit grudgingly. The spoon/fork/knife thingy with cord is potentially useful, but I'm not immediately sure for what. The rest of it looks OK for what it is.

There are some useful things here. It's on sale now for ~$16, and that's about right. Put it in your car or carry some of the items in a backpack while hiking.

[Redacted] c[Redacted] c: While all contents are included, they don't all fit in the case. I guess you could keep them all in the pouch it comes in, but not sure how durable that will be. A rundown--
**The Good:
- spork appears to be fairly good; only time will tell about rusting
- flashlight, while lightweight, seems to be good. It is as bright as one would expect with a very small
flashlight. It has a "bright", low, and strobe setting you change by clicking the on/off button
- belt loop bottle holder seems to be solid
- knife appears to be good for a set like this. It does need to be sharpened, but the blade has a "spring
action" opening so it can be easily used with one hand
- paracord bracelet with compass is of the quality you would expect with a set like this and the compass
seems to be accurate (more on this later)
**The didn't try yet:
- cable saw seems to be of ok quality but I have not gone out to cut any branches with it yet so not sure
- blanket comes in a little plastic bag and I know if I took it out I would never be able to get it back in so
have not checked it
- fire starter appears to be made like most that would come in a kit like this so I expect...
