12V HK Dual Trumpet Car Air Horn Kit - 150db Super Loud

Alex: I kept seeing those drill airhorns on Tiktok so I wanted to make one myself.

I took an old drill that we had and followed some instructions online. This one is quite easily to assemble.

It was MUCH MUCH louder than I anticipated, you would definitely need earplugs if you're using it handheld (maybe not if you're using it for your car)

Value was okay, and extrememly loud

brandon flohr: I took apart my old Ryobi drill because it was failing and ended up mounting the compressor inside of the case and mounting the horns on top of the drill case. Now I have a train horn that works off of a Ryobi battery that's 18 volts and it's awesome.

Paul Conyers: Seems well built. Comes with most hardware you should need (I used a different mounting method).
You DEFINITLY need some wiring skills to install - or pay for a PRO.
#1 louder than regular factory horn for sure - but NOT 150db - will test with Decibel meter soon.
#2 if your car alarm goes 'electronic CHIRP CHIRP' - you are OK.
If you have an older vehicle that goes 'HONK HONK or something similar' when you arm or disarm - remember that your neighbors will LOVE hearing you every day
(I wired mine with a separate industrial Slap button on my dash.)
#3 take a standard shoe box to your car and see if you can fit it in near the fire wall in back -or- grill in front...lots of cars DO NOT have the space - a shoe box is a pretty good rough measure.

Dana H: I used this to build a DIY handheld horn from an old drill. It is LOUD and sounds like a big rig or a train. This has worked amazingly well at deterring dogs that chase me when riding my bike. I had a whole pack run out to greet me in the road and when I blasted the horn they all ran like scared cats. I highly recommend this horn.

I wanted something louder than my factory horn that i could barely hear myself honking while driving. Now its something from the past. I d like a slightly louder but performs well enough

Rob B: Like others have said, these horns are not as loud as purported to be. They have nice build quality, and a nice low tone, but the compressor used for these horn sets is not nearly powerful enough to live up to the rated decibel output. Granted, they will get attention, but you won’t rattle windows with them. These will be donated to a relative as I have recently purchased a real horn kit with tank and compressor to get the sound level I want. If you’re on a budget and just want a minor upgrade to your factory horn, these will work fine. Or you can spend less than $100 and get a real set of four attention getting horns.

Scottish Customer: This is a weaponised horn lol . I had one on my truck before and this slightly smaller version fitted my Q5. Car horns these days are like toy horns , totally useless. I would caution you be thoughtful about its use because it will give people a fright .
