G Duncan: My use for this product is for backup power on my home security system as I was receiving a bad battery code on my keypad. I just made sure before the purchase that it was the matching correct size. I checked with my security company online for their specifics. I followed the instructions on placing the system in test mode, disconnected the two wires from the old battery and connected the new battery. Took the system out of test and online. Works fine, no more trouble signals with my alarm. I took the old battery to Batteries Plus Bulbs for recycling. The price was cheaper than what I would have been charged by my security company and I got it quicker with Prime.
