12V 15AH Sealed Lead-Acid (SLA) Battery Replacement for GP12120, PS-12120, WP12-12, and GP12110F2-2PK

C. HuegenC. Huegen: I tried this set of Chrome batteries to replace my APC UPS's batteries for my entertainment center. Most batteries last 3-4 years in such an application, and I was drawn to the promises of higher capacity (15 Ah instead of 12). When I received them, I had to bend the case slightly, as the batteries are slightly larger than the standard 12120 size and wouldn't fit properly. They worked fine - but then 22 months later I heard the telltale chirps that signaled battery failure. I checked all connections, and no luck. Of course, warranty is only 18 months - so they're engineered to fail right after warranty. I would not buy this product - I would recommend going with a different, well-known sealed battery like PowerSonic or Mighty Max. I opened the case and found what you see in the picture. Batteries ruptured and acid poured out, melting parts in the UPS. Definitely a no-go!!!

ESP's vision: I bought these SLAs to replace gels that did not last much over six months. This is the first significantly bad experience with deep cycle gels I've had but after two consecutive bad purchase experiences with deep cycle gels I decided "no more".

Frank Brothers: good price and worked in my scooter was a little to high i had to trim a litter off the hold down pins but not a big thing I had a 12 amp battery and change to the 15amp battery hope this will give me a little more run time

T. Vaughan: Installation of these batteries into the existing case was relatively difficult due to the fact that the dimensions of them were just a bit different from the original batteries. I had to modify the case to allow the larger batteries to fit. After that the batteries performed better than the originals because of the increased capacity, 15AH as opposed to 12AH. These were replacements for a mobility scooter so it means longer run times and increased power for inclines.
