Michael Schuyler: They screw in like a normal lightbulb and put put an amazing amount of light. They have six "leaves" of LED lights that fan out to illuminate an entire room. They are perfect for a garage or storeroom. These things do not provide soft ambient light. They are more serious than that. If you want some serious light on the subject, these things will provide. Highly recommended. Good price, too.

The lights are so far working well, not 12000 lumens, but much brighter then the 100w equivalent bulbs i was using in the garage previously

Tony: These things are bright! They are nice and small, with adjustable "fins", allowing you to adjust the angle of the light. I have a two car garage, (with one large door for size reference). Previously I had two 75w bulbs in light sockets. These things are a lot brighter, but not so bright as to hurt your eyes if you look into them. The light they throw off covers about 85% of my garage extremely well, and the other 15% is pretty good (still better than the old incandescents). I can now look for tools in my tool chests and cabinets without the need for a flashlight. They are compact in size and screw in. Install took less than five minutes.
Only negative is that they are so bright that from the curb of my driveway everyone can see into my garage and see what's in there with more clarity. Time will tell how long they last.
