These are sturdy and a little bit coarse, which is good if you want to use them for cleaning. I had wanted to use them to wipe steam off the inside of our glass shower, and they do not do a good job of that, as they are not especially absorbent.

I purchased these towels to replace some bar mop towels that appear to be no longer available. They looked similar, the reviews were decent enough and price was right, but they are not even close to the ones I purchased before. I hand wash my dishes and have big hands so the old bar mop towels worked great since they were larger making it easier to wring them out and use them to clean dishes.
These are way to thin and shrank down to a size that is too small for their intended use. That said, I would definitely not recommend these for face clothes either. They are too rough for that purpose.
At this point I am a little lost as to what purpose they would serve. They might make nice cleaning clothes or shop ragsd, but in my opinion, they are not at all close to the quality described and I would not recommend these as face clothes or dish rags. Although if you have small hands they might be fine for the later.

These are used strictly for my face. They're not particularly very soft, but I prefer them that way because it seems the softer towels do not absorb as well. They serve their purpose.
