GOSHI Exfoliating Shower Towel - Luxurious Skin Care for a Refreshing Cleanse

Mad Mensch: My wife and kids all use regular loofahs and (call me old fashioned) but I hate the sight of those things in my shower and really dislike using them. That said, I've also tried every loofah marketed towards men - the weird orb shaped ones, the silicone ones, the brush with handle, etc, etc. I disliked all of them. Finally I came across the shower "towel" and immediately knew my days of scrubbing bare-handed was over.

But hold on, before you jump head-first into the world of the shower towel, know that not all of them are created equal. You absolutely need to get the GOSHI. Prior to the Goshi I made the mistake of trying other brands (also from Amazon) and they literally felt like I was scrubbing my body with a metal wire scrubber and one even smelled like fish out of the box. I nearly gave up the shower towel search until I landed on the GOSHI. O. S. I.: Bought this and I've used cleanology and a number of other japanese and korean cloths. this one is almost as good as a sugar scrub. I use it daily for 80% of my body. Surpringinly soft but actually gets your skin squaky clean.

My only qualm is the price!!! So, I tried to cut it in half and its been stripping everywhere... lol but it but hopefully find a way to get more bang for your buck.

Codey Smith: This is a fantastic product. After using it for about a month my skin feels amazing and it has helped with areas where I have keratosis. Also the length is super helpful to get to hard to reach areas.

The fabric is rough enough to get some good exfoliation but not too much that it leaves your red and scratched up when you are done. It also dries quickly so I'm not super concerned about bacteria growth.

My only complaint is the price. The product is great, but it just seems like a lot to pay for a single cloth. We will have to see how long this holds up.

LJ: I have bought 5 or 6 of these towels, one for myself and the rest as gifts to family members, and it's been a hit every single time. The first time I used this, it was definitely a learning experience. I'd been using shower poufs and a back scrubber like a pouf for the majority of my life, and sure, they get a good lather up, but they don't really do much to your skin.

This towel, on the other hand, I felt like I hadn't been clean for ages before it. I'd never felt my back, my shoulders, my whole body feels so smooth and clean, and every time after the first, it's been just as good. It definitely takes some getting used to how these feel, they aren't soft, but they aren't super abrasive either, they just have a firmness to the fibers that make scrubbing away dead skin and dirt a snap. They recommend not using it on your face, or I believe your privates too, but honestly, unless your skin is sensitive, I say go for it, just be gentle at first.

I've used this in the shower, in a bath tub, with body wash, with basic bar soap, those big bars of soap the size of your face, probably even shampoo. Bar soap is definitely a challenge to use and get a good lather up to...

Goshi hit the sweet spot! It’s rough enough for light exfoliation , but gentle enough for everyday use.
PLUS it’s extra long so you can use it to scrub your back. I feel extra clean and soft after a shower now!

Bunch it up for more of a loofa vibe and unfurl it to get that sweet sweet scrubbing action! Just make sure you have somewhere to hang it because I imagine it’d take a while to dry otherwise.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: OMG! I have had the best washing experience of all time! I bought this to replace my back scrubber (long handle wooden brush) but I got 2 for 1. I actually threw away my puff ball/scrunchy thing too! This is my new best friend. I used it with my favourite exfoliating body scrub and OMG - best shower I have ever had! Not only did I come out of the shower feeling invigorated but my skin felt super clean and it was so soft. Moisturising afterwards was an experience of sheer decadence. However, I did make some mistakes. First mistake, was using far too much body scrub. This wonder towel lathers everything up so well you only need a fraction of what you would normally use (picture the old Fairy Liquid adverts with Nanette Newman). Second mistake, was not buying one for my husband at the same time. Three days later the same one (from a different recommended seller as my seller was no longer selling them) is £33! I paid £18 which I thought was expensive but it had good reviews and it looked good. No regrets about spending £18 but I wouldn’t pay £33. Third mistake was waiting 3 days before I used it!
I’ve just bought another one for £10, looks the same. I’ll let you know.

CJCJ: I've tried loofas and body brushes. I've tried the cheap $1 nylon sponge wads you get at the big box stores. I read some good articles about the Goshi shower towel and decided to give it a try. I wouldn't say the Goshi towel is "soft." It's not harsh nor is it scratchy. The material is a softer, nylon-like material that exfoliates without being overly course. It's exactly what I want an exfoliating scrub cloth to be.

That said, what you get in the package is super long! There is a LOT of towel! So much excess that I found it obnoxiously messy with soapy lather splashing everywhere during normal shower use. I decided to cut the towel in half. Perfect! Now I have a two Goshi towels that are "right sized" (I used a simple lighter to singe the ends where I cut to keep the material from fraying at the cut).

The package that was delivered was ripped open. The Goshi towel inside seemed to be in good shape, no stains, rips or abrasion. I only mention this in case others have experienced similar, which could mean that Goshi may want to adjust their package size as they are simply over-stuffing.

AshAsh: Products that go through the "social media spin cycle" often fall into two categories:

1) They suck and/or don't work, or

2) They're made in China, and you can find them off-brand on certain "recently launched in Canada" discount sites for a fraction of what you're being asked to pay (Looking at you, $12 Ridge Wallet that retails for $149)

The Goshi is neither, and is the first product I've found that was in heavy advertising rotation on social media that was both worth the money and unavailable anywhere else.

While it's a tad expensive for what basically amounts to a very rough, very thin washcloth, it has a few things going for it: namely it's quality, it's lightweight- and remarkably quick drying- design, and it's exfoliating power.

In other words, it's well made, wrings out quickly (travel friendly), and does what it claims to do, which is give you a deep scrub.

I've paired this with Botanic Hearth's Tea Tree Eucalyptus Body Wash, and the two provide an excellent deep clean that exfoliates dead skin away; this past winter was the first winter in memory that I've been able to forgoe moisturizer for extended periods and not feel dry and...
