They wash up fine only lost a little color. They’re not thin at all. Very wide. For the price these are soft. Reminds me of the wash clothes at hotels.

Pros:
Decent size and weight.
Color is vibrant.
Feels soft (*see softness footnote below)
Border bands didn't shrink/pucker. (cold wash, low heat dry)
Cons:
Edges of all 4 towels frayed upon very first wash before drying. (see photo)
Surface of towels had pilling and a tremendous amount of lint bunnies.
*Softness: After washing and drying towels, they were used in the bath and weren't very absorbent for 100% cotton. Rather, they simply moved the water around and didn't dry skin well.
I suspect the lack of absorbency and soft feel of the towels are the result of a softener or wax from the manufacture.
I predict towels will dry better after a few more washes without any fabric softener.
I have a strong background in textiles and I'm aware different dyes/colors can affect the same fabric differently. Some dyes can weaken fabric significantly. This could explain why some people are getting better results. The color I purchased is coral.
I have some Fieldcrest-Cannon towels that were purchased around 1968.
They've been washed probably a thousand times or more.
They are still vibrant emerald green and show...
