Gabrielle: The media could not be loaded.  SMART FUEL burned very clean with no fumes. It burned a slightly higher flame than Regal Flame Premium Ventless Bio Ethanol Fireplace Fuel. It also burned slightly warmer than Regal. In a 7ft x 15 ft 3 season room with windows closed, I tested both products. SMART FUEL did burn slightly warmer. The temperature of the room in October in the evening was 55 degrees. It raised the temperature to 70 degrees! HOWEVER, 1.06 quarts (1 liter) only lasted 1hr and 55 minutes. Regal also burned very clean with no fumes. The flames were slightly lower than SMART and did not throw as much heat…a difference of 4 degrees. IT however burned for 2 hours 30minutes. SMART COST $8.66 each. Regal cost $7.12 each. (1 qt) at the time of this posting. Both are super nice to have a beautiful flame and comfy room! (Note: fuel cost impacted by pandemic possibly false distribution and availability costs?). Might switch to one of the new Duraflame 3D Infrared Electric Fireplace Stove with Remote Control, Cinnamon - DFI-5010-03 for $239 at the time of this posting. Tough to give up a real real glowing flame with real flame noise and heat…so captivating!!!!! In summary,...

Patrick Amato: The media could not be loaded.  This is a great product for a ventless alcohol fireplace. No odor or soot. One bottle lasts 4-6 hours and produces a beautiful flame.

Kevin Pyne: I bought a twelve pack of Smart Fuel to try in my new Regal alcohol fire place insert. It's a bit pricey per liter but I shopped around for the best price and Smart Fuel won the price war by a little bit.

I have to say that their customer service is excellent. I had an issue with one of the bottles of fuel leaking during shipment, but I informed Smart Fuel and they took care of the issue right away. I didn't even ask for a replacement bottle and to my surprise I received a few replacement bottles in a new shipment free of charge.

They know how to treat their customers right. I can't recommend them more highly.

Dave: If old cans saved from gel fuel for fireplace, you can refill the cans with this liquid and get 24 cans refilled and a couple of bottles left over. Burns same as gel, same time, etc. Only the crackle sound is Missing. It is a slight cheaper. Before they raised the price appx. 50%, it was a whole lot cheaper. Still it's cheaper than the gel 13oz. c

Carl S. Lau: With denatured alcohol being illegal in California, a search for a substitute turned up this treated (with a poisonous additive) ethanol as fuel. Works well via a lamp wick, burning hot. Home Depot didn't sell it, but found it on Amazon, thankfully. Showed up in eight days via fedex. It is a lot more expensive than denatured alcohol, but fills my needs.
