Scott: I have a manual sliding cheap caliper that I've been using, that was just a few $$ less than this one.
And now I have this battery powered digital with a clear plastic case that is a lot more accurate. This even came with 2 batteries. 1 to use now and 1 to use later....
Really nice little caliper, plus I didn't need a 6 or 8 inch caliper and spending a bunch of $$$$
This serves me well !
