Andy: The media could not be loaded. I used a 3mm offset for the hole instead of the 5mm as after testing on some scrap wood, that seemed to give better fit and adjustment with an inset door that had 1/8 inch all the way around.

DIY Chevy GuyDIY Chevy Guy: My order was for 4 soft closure hinges. One of the hinges was received as shown in the attached photo. The soft closure mechanism is defective. It still functions as a hinge, but is no longer soft closing. It "snaps" close as there is nothing to buffer the spring action. The other 3 seem to be OK. The 2nd picture is to compare bad vs good.
After communicating with Matty regarding the defective hinge, he apologized for the issue and promptly stated that he would resolve the problem by sending me a replacement order that I have since received. Matty was very quick and eager to to make things right. I have changed my rating to 5 STARS for his excellent customer service attitude, which seems to be a rarity these days, and I applaud him for that!

STP: All of the cabinet doors under the double-vanity in the master bathroom were poorly installed with the cheapest of hinges screwed sloppily into the face of the frames. Screws have begun falling out and hinges are bending (yes - they're that cheap). Frustrated, I went to our local hardware store to find some soft-close, internal mount hinges (sorry if I'm getting all the words wrong - I'm a tech guy and totally new to the DIY world of home-ownership). The hinges there were over $6 each! Shocked, I left empty-handed.
I decided to look online instead, and started with a 4-pack of these beauties to see how it went. (I needed the partial overlay due to my setup, but you should browse the item pictures to see their chart and identify the right parts for your cabinets.) They worked great! They came with simple instructions (and all the screws you'll need), they close gently, and all at less than half the cost at the store. After my wife tried my cabinet doors, she told me to hurry up and order more. I ordered an 8-pack to finish the job and the price per hinge was even lower! I plan to order more and move on to the other bathroom... maybe I'll update the kitchen cabinets too!...

Nawaaz Nathoo: I bought these looking for soft close hinges. However, they don’t actually close softly, just slam shut!! Do not buy if you’re looking for soft close!!

Steve B.: I didn't know that they made one piece slow close hidden hinges but apparently they do and these are it. Not what I was after since the design makes mounting them unnecessarily difficult. Caveat Emptor.

Amazon Customer: It is just for my small cabinet door and it fits the original hole. But I will advice against using this on big doors as the wall and the door piece is actually one. This will be troublesome to use on big doors!!!!
