KeithKeith: Bought these to replace 8 broken soft close hinges for my cabinets. While I would have preferred to replace them with the same style as the original (as they clip on to the existing cabinet hinges) just to have a more uniform look. Those original clip on soft close hinges had a major design weakness as all 8 broke at the exact same location. Love these replacement Rok hardware soft close adapters. Quick and easy to install, line them up on your framed cabinets. Use a 3/32 drill bit, make a pilot hole 1/4" inch deep, insert a single screw and tighten. Done. Note, you are only supposed to use a single screw for installation, not two as some reviews state.

Jeff K.: Not terrible to install, just press against the cabinet, small pilot hole followed by screw. It does add some extra hardware inside of the cabinet which isnt ideal but considering the ease of install and the price compared to replacing this many hinges, it's well worth the small eye sore. You will (probably) need to adjust the doors of your cabinets to back them away from the hinge point a bit but this is pretty easy and I needed to adjust and align my doors anyway. No more slams! If only there was this easy of a fix for my drawers........ I installed 24 of these in kitchen, bathroom, and a few built-ins and it only took me a few hours 2 nights in a row.

HD Garden Girl: I purchased these soft close adapters in lieu of trying to replace all my cabinet hinges with soft-close. They work pretty good, putting one adapter per door (even for tall doors). The only issue is that sometimes over use, they move and then you need to retighten the screw. I only used one screw per adapter and pre-drilled the hole. The screw goes in at an angle, so that is a bit difficult. Plus, trying to put in a top and bottom screw onto the same adapter is almost impossible unless you were to place the adapter about 10" up or down on the cabinet frame. I wanted my adapter to be placed on the top about 4-5" down (and out of the way). Therefore, I mostly only used the bottom screw hole which I could access (if this makes any sense).

Tim D.: If your house does not come with soft close hinges, but you would like to have them then this is for you. The one thing required in your hinge is it does have to be a self closing hinge type. This means when you get the door within 3" - 6" from being closed then let go of door and it closes on its own. You have self closing. As a life long handyman and home inspector I know what looks made better than the other. I liked this over the others because it has a mostly metal structure vs all plastic like many of the others I see out there. Time to install was after I got my pattern down on how to do it was 5 minutes per dampener. Most doors only need 1, if its a rather large door maybe 2 (1 at top, 1 at bottom). I'm 65 so my getting around has slowed from my younger days so its possible others may do in less than 5 minutes each. I got my whole house done and very happy with how they work. I can only highly recommend this product.

Roger: Buying the Rok Hardware 25 Pack of SoftClose dampers for Cabinet Doors was the best purchase ever! For a fraction / miniscule of the price, all our kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors that used to bang very loudly when closed by the kids, are now soft close! I definitely recommend this product. Very easy to install (you just need your drill, a 2.5mm drill bit and a screw driver) and great value for money. The only small gripe I have is that not enough screws were supplied in the pack. Also, if you fit the damper at the top of the cabinetry as recommended in the installation instructions, it is difficult to drill the pilot hole for the top screw. It didn't matter though. I used 1 screw only on the majority of the dampers that I used and they still work like a treat.

Sam: bought ten ordering more for sure . so nice not to have slamming doors..... if smaller door i suggest you move the stopper out from corner at 1.5 inch at a time till door closes properly , of course this is only if the adjustment dial on rear of stopper doesn’t slack enough for door to fully close .and obviously make sure that small LIP on stopper face is over the edge which lends to stability and positioning. Drill the pilot holes as they request and screw in by hand till taught or the screw holes won’t last in any cabinet very long , do it right the first time !!!!!!!!!!

IvarVaday: amazing! unfortunately we do not have blum hinges, so had to go with these. they worked out very well in terms of price. the ikea adapters were $6 a pair, these worked out to just over $4 each ($3 at ikea). so for an extra $1 not bad at all! plus these are independent of what hinge type you have. i ordered 20, needed 18. i was able to install 18 of them probably under 30-40 minutes? i would definitely recommend these to anyone that do not have blum hinges. i would still recommend the blum hinge adapters not only because they are cheaper, but they snap on and off, where as these need to be screwed/drilled in.
