Pam: I always wash before using. I washed them in cold water on delicate. What I experienced was a lot of lint had came off. No stitching problems but the lint was overwhelming. The colors are true and without any fading. Just the lint was a problem. Maybe the next wash will be less lint. I can still us them.

ShahzadShahzad: When ordering washcloths on Amazon, we were totally amazed at the amount of options we had. We picked these because the price and the ultra soft quality the product was boasting. We buy a lot of washcloths on Amazon and this is hands down the best.
The washcloths are completely beautiful. The color, the softness and the quality is true to the listing. I ordered a set of these washcloths and true to their name, they are ultra soft. My wife used one to remove her makeup and she was totally amazed at the softness and the quality of these washcloths. We're using a few of them in the bathrooms and they sit absolutely beautifully. We even used these on our newborn.
We've only washed them once and see that the quality and softness have increased rather than decreased. It seems to us that they will last forever. The color has stayed, with no fading, shrinking or ripping.
Perfect addition to our linen closet, you will not be disappointed.
