This brush is a bit short in the handle for me, but aside from that it's very nice. I have had no issues with it. Nothing fell apart right away, it didn't smell weird, it didn't give me splinters or crack, and the bristles didn't fall out in clumps. (These are all problems I've encountered with other brushes!)
Bristles are soft but not TOO soft. Wood is nice and light without feeling too flimsy. If it were just a wee bit longer it'd be pretty perfect. Probably an even better brush for the bathtub instead of the shower, since it would be easier to reach with it if you were sitting down.

DON'T buy these brushes unless you want a brush with only an 8" handle (now just how the heck do you reach your back w/ a handle that short?), a brush that discolors to black on the handle and bristles within weeks, or one whose bristles fall out. After trying to remove the black stains (only brush that ever did THAT) with bleach, the remaining bristles became too soft to use. And the black remained. Sheesh.
