carl: I bought these as replacement drumsticks for taiko no tatsujin on my switch and they're awesome! You feel like you're actually drumming vs banging the plasticky sticks

Kendra: Bought these to go with the goodwilled rockband drums my son acquired last weekend. He has been having a blast and every surface in the house has turned into a percussion instrument. Seems to be high quality given he has banged on counters, doors, walls, floors, and tables and they haven't broken. Came a day earlier along with the migraine.

Knox: I love the maple 5As because I like to be able to hit hard, but I also wanted to be able to have the speed I need. The maple is a light wood, so it’s perfect for that! (Hitting hard, but not feeling sluggish.) The only draw back to these sticks is that they are a softer wood, so they naturally chip and break easier/ faster than hickory.

Mad Drummer: Pros:
These are a low price option for sticks and really are a good value for the money. They are reasonably well balanced and have a good solid feel in your hands. If you don't want to spend a ton of money on a pair of sticks and like the feel of maple, these are great!
Cons:
I know that these are probably factory seconds from one of the major manufacturers, but they are all slightly warped. Not a big deal and didn't affect my playing, but can feel a little strange at times. The maple isn't the traditional hard maple I'm used to from Vic Firth. This maple seems a little softer and very wide-grained. This led to several broken sticks in a 4 hour gig. Granted I was outside and playing hard, but they shouldn't have broken so easily.
Overall:
Yes, they're worth the money, but buy a few pairs at a time.
About me:
I'm just a normal drummer, in a normal band, playing normal music. I do have a tendency to hit a little harder than the average player, but the maple sticks are my favorites. I'll take a slightly lighter weight stick that has a tendency to break more often than playing with a hickory baseball bat.
