OneBoot: This is my second year to use Blue Lake and Pond dye. I just carry the bottle around the edge of the pond and slowly pour it out. I did put some in the middle of the pond as well. After a few days the color takes over and it looks very nice. I did use two containers on a two acre pond. It does seem to help with keeping grass growth down in my experience.

skmskm: The media could not be loaded. Thank you to the folks at Rainy River. The product shipment was delayed and Amazon said to get a refund. So, we requested a refund. Rainy River processed it immediately. However, our product did finally arrive, we received it and then used it. We advised Rainy River that it did end up coming and to please charge us. They declined and said please accept it as our gift, with apologies on the delay. We are so very grateful to them. We also wanted to share us adding just about 5-10mL of this product to one of our areas - and you can see the immediate change! Great product and great folks at Rainy River. Thank you!

roserose: The pond use to be yellow mud puddle look. Now it's a beautiful blue/green. We can see the tadpoles and turtles clearer.

book guru: I used this for a small fountain and used just a little bit. The color is pretty dark blue and makes it look unnatural. In a pond with thousands of gallons of water it might be ok as it gets diluted enough. I was hoping for something that is more emerald to bluish and not this very dark blue. I will see how it looks when it's more diluted when I add more water but next time I will look for some emerald color. Also make sure you use gloves as it will really stain your hands. It goes away within a day. It did stain my water fountain, though. I didn't try to clean it yet so I am not sure how permanent it is. But the blue stain doesn't look nice when you approach the fountain. I still give it 4 stars because I might just have used too much for our small fountain.

Randy M.: I have a 45 ft x65 ft pond, 10 ft deep... used very little to dye the water. we have fish, turtles and frogs in our pond. Did not hurt them at all... only algae growth is along the edges... once a week, I scrub it off with a pool brush. use rubber gloves when pouring into the pond... the dye is tough to get off of your hands. I put the product in my pond 3 months ago... no aquatic life was harmed; and the water is as blue as it was when I first applied it.
