These hinges were a great value and they were incredibly easy to install. In fact, I was able to install them myself without any professional help.

The slow close feature is very convenient, especially in a busy household like mine. It prevents the doors from slamming shut, which is not only noisy but can also be damaging to the cabinets over time. I'm happy to say that the slow close mechanism works perfectly and I haven't had any issues with the doors closing too slowly or not staying closed.

One thing that impressed me about these hinges is how sturdy they are. I built three cabinets for my laundry room and the hinges have held up very well under the weight of the doors. I feel confident that these hinges will last for years to come and I won't have to worry about them breaking or malfunctioning.

NC211: I have big box versions that cost twice as much that you can adjust the dampers on. I’m replacing all of them for these for two key reasons. First, they are completely silent! The ones i have that you can adjust make an annoying click noise via its spring. These are buttery smooth through their whole motion. Second, these actually help to open the cabinet door too. The spring rate when you open the cabinet door, wants to push the door completely open but not in an obnoxious manner. Very handy if you have painted cabinets and don't what to hit the door by accident with whatever you’re pulling out or putting back into the cabinet. Its not forceful, but very subtle and smooth.

G. P.: I took a chance to see if these worked and purchased them. They where MUCH cheaper than the big box store prices. I Installed them on my Kitchen and Bathroom cabinets within an hour. I found these work very well and I am pleased with the results of my cabinets NOT slamming shut anymore. I did have to put in small sponge buffer on each corner door to soften the door when closing. They do still make a small "thump" noise when they close....it's NOT bad but if there is NO soft contact, you will hear the door close and hit the cabinet box, it's wood on wood. This was one of two things that I found a bit of a CON but I fixed it. The other CON was that the space/gap at the hinges, for the 1/2 inch over lay was out further than the original gap when looking at the hinges from the side of the door, when closed. I could see a bigger space/gap of about 1/8" more than the original space/gap but that is not an issue for me and I was pleased with them. These hinges are more heavy duty than my old hinges and the contact at the screw when screwing in the single screw to the box is a bit different, hence leaving a bit more of a gap. There are two screws to adjust the closing aspect of the door...

Les M.: I had 30 doors to retrofit my kitchen with soft close hinges. as stated in another review I installed 50 Houseables soft close hinges from Amazon, all performed as advertised. I needed another 10 so I ordered the amazon basics soft close hinges, they were easy to install, but 4 of the ten are not a true soft close, they bump just prior to closing? The price is right, the performance is not, thus a 3 star rating.

Amazon Customer: Happy with the product, good value for $. Decent soft close, not 100% but better than manu lol.

I am however pissed that I follow the distancing instructions on 1 door placement and ended up with a door hinge too far away. Double check the placement before you make the whole because for us it didn’t work.

Rach_O: Let me start by saying that this is my first time ever installing new cabinet hinges. Our house has older cabinets that I thought could be improved with a soft close hinge. For around $100, I did just that and overall I am happy with this product.

However, I did run into several hinges that had significantly less resistance to close than they should. This became a problem particularly with my upper cabinet doors (which are bigger and heavier) because they were no longer “soft-close” with any amount of force when closing the cabinet. That made the install a bit of a headache because I had to swap out hinges on different doors that were lighter until I was able to get every door to close lightly. If you don’t mind spending a bit more time on your install playing this guessing game, then I think it’s definitely worth the money. If you’re not into that though, then there are definitely other hinges out there (albeit more expensive) that should fit the bill.

FYI - I don’t think this is a fluke as I bought two separate packages of these hinges at different times of the year and ran into the same issue on both sets. I imagine it’s likely just a quality control...
