Zoom Precision Silhouette Cameo 4: Engrave, Emboss, and Etch with Precision!

April Turner: This is a great concept and apparently some people have success. I have tried for 3 hours to get this to work consistently and have failed. I am using it to emboss card stock and it starts off great, but with the pressure needed, the tool is pushed up in the housing and no longer leaves any kind of mark on the paper. i don’t see how this would work on metal with multiple passes needed.

Katelyn: I'm new to engraving, so I'm still learning to use this, but so far it has done great! Mine didn't come with instructions, but you can find tutorials on the website for the tool. For the cameo 4, it involves using the engraver as a pen and having a lot of pressure and force to grave. It's not a bad idea to have a dry erase pen clipped into the pen holder before you start engraving to make sure everything is lined up. It's pretty load, but I don't notice a lot of dust or anything being kicked up while on use.

Chris K: Haven't tried it on other materials yet, but I did try to make a dog tag on aluminum that I had painted for contrast. It worked well. IIRC there was an instructional video that showed using another adapter, a pen or marker holder to test alignment. Haven't yet tried it on other materials yet, but I have some plastic and brass to engrave...

Thomas: Lieferung ging sehr schnell, das Ergebnis auf Hundemarken ( Alu) überzeugt mich bis jetzt noch nicht, muss ggf noch an den Einstellungen arbeiten. Auf Kunststoff, Plexiglas ... sehr schön. Passt in den Cameo 4, nicht in den 3er .

RK: Ich habe es für meinen Silhouette Cameo 4 gekauft und es funktioniert einwandfrei. Wird ohne Adapter einfach in den Schlitten (1) gesteckt und auch direkt erkannt (als Stift).
Mit den richtigen Einstellungen graviert er sehr schön auf Metall und auch auf Acryl

superzoom13superzoom13: I was a bit reserved about this - I couldn't believe it may be easy to use. It is soooo simple. You need a pixscan mat to make it really easy. I have a Cameo 4. I used the sharpest looking one and just thought - right this is it. Followed instructions on the silhouette tutorial website and voila!!! Now what can I etch lol

A friend passed away and I offered to design his plaque however my partner made the urn so I decided I wasn't just going to design it but make it also, I found this product recommended online and thought was worth a try im so glad I actually did I couldn't be more chuffed with the end result for my friend ❤ takes a bit of getting used to but slow and steady seriously wins the race with this 😀
