Hypnotic Guy: They put their business name/logo on the wrong end.

There are numbers up along both of the 300mm sides for measuring in millimeters, 1 to 27 which is helpful.

There is the company name along one of the 200mm ends, and then numbers along the other end for measuring in millimeters.

They put the company name on the end where the numbers to the right and left start at 1. If you want to measure anything between the let and right side the numbers are at the far end between the right and left 27.

The measuring numbers should be between the right and left 1, and their company name should be at the other end, between the right and left 27, where fewer things are going to be measured.

Most things that a user is going to want to measure across, between the right and left, are going to start and the number 1 to the right and left.

I hope this makes sense, and i hope the next time they make this for sale they reverse the position of their company name to allow proper usage of the rulers.

Early Adopter: I learned the hard way that a good honeycomb laser bed is essential for preventing problems caused by not having one. While experimenting with glass I placed it directly on a good piece of birch plywood. The laser effectively etched the glass through the black paint I covered it with and then burned the design on the plywood underneath.

This laser bed does a great job of supporting the engraving material while increasing air flow and insulating your work surface. I highly recommend this device.

Donna W.Donna W.: Having used several different laser honeycombs in the past, this one seems to be one of the better designed and built ones I've tried. The corners are nice and square and come with plastic protectors. And it came with an aluminum under-tray that protects the surface beneath it, a feature missing on most all other honeycombs. Most importantly, it has a proper gap underneath between the honeycomb and the tray for venting smoke and vapors, which is important for cut quality and to prevent fires.

The fixturing clamps are nice and adequately hold down stock material. And the honeycomb is sized correctly with a full 400x400mm work area and the listing correctly notes its real physical dimensions of 440 x 470 x 22mm in the product description -- this is an important detail that's often listed incorrectly on many other honeycomb sellers and you have to double check to discern physical dimensions from work area dimensions.

The ruler markings for the workspace are a very convenient addition and provide a better reference than the ruler markings on my laser itself, since this ruler is closer to the actual stock material. Most of the other honeycombs I own are completely lacking...
