Andrea Crooks: Works great and easy to use. Love that I can use it on my babies nails without hurting her.
The pads do get dull fast so buy extras!

jka0282: I've been using this nail trimmer on my baby for four months now. I absolutely love that it is gentle and does not hurt whatsoever (it is a soft vibration to the touch, which is perfect for newborn babies). It did an amazing job filing my little one's nails during the first couple months. However, after a few months her nails weren't as soft to file and it seemed to take so much longer to file. I tried switching to the tougher grit discs, which did not seem to help much. The file was still comfortable to the touch, however my little one would get annoyed after I filed just a couple nails because it took so long and she didn't want to have her hand still for that long. I finally purchased a pair of nail scissors (the piyo piyo baby nail ones) and have used those to cut her nails, and then I smooth out the edges with the Zo-li buzz nail trimmer. I've found this to be the best of both worlds. I would definitely recommend this product in regards to the softness (you are definitely not going to hurt your baby or damage the skin with it), however if you're not crazy about the price I think you could definitely get away with carefully using baby scissors...

J. M. Goetz: The Zo-li Baby Nail Trimmer was recommended strongly by friends and family. It lived up to it's reputation.

We found it's best use was in our babies first few months (after that it was less effective). The pads are very gentle, even massage like, but work rapidly. Oftentimes our son would sleep through us working on his nails, when we dared the risk of waking him. Unlike emery boards you don't have to spend as much focus to do a good job and you'll never make your child's nails ragged.

Bottom line - it works fast, but not as fast as clipping and filing nails. It's gentler, and easier to use. Highly recommend.

littlefoot: MY GOAL: Keep my baby's nails trimmed without hurting him in the process.

The Zo-li serves this purpose. It does not file down the nails absolutely perfectly, but enough so the baby doesn't hurt itself. I just make sure to file every day or two. For me, it is worth the peace of mind to know I will be able to file down his nails anytime, anyplace, and not accidentally clip or poke him.

Cutting baby fingernails is terrifying. I noticed this product when my baby was newborn, but I didn't want to fork out the money. I knew I could make do with clippers. Well, the clippers only worked when the baby was sleeping which was much easier to do with an immobile newborn. After accidentally, clipping my baby's finger, I switched to a nail file. It worked well, but only when the baby was asleep while nursing. And the file had a sharp point that I knew would be a future problem. But then I also had the current problem of ruining nap time by nursing the baby to sleep, filing his nails, then making him mad by putting him in the crib after he was so cozy latched on to me. Plus, he started getting lots of teeth, and that was scary for me.

I couldn't...

T. Schatz: I've used this trimmer for my twins from birth to now (3 months) and it's been great. Neither baby ever seems to mind me using this, and it's incredibly easy to use when either one is nursing and really not paying attention to me. It's definitely most effective when the battery is truly fully charged, as it becomes less and less effective fairly quickly as the battery runs down (kind of an obvious statement). I did find that the 0-3mo pad didn't work too well for one baby when it worked well for the other, so use your own judgement based on your child's specific needs. Bumping up my daughter from the 0-3mo from birth to the 3-6mo didn't do any harm, as she just has harder nails.

Great product, worth the money and totally safe, especially if you don't want to worry at all about accidentally clipping your baby's finger.

arlybuys: This is the best way to cut a newborn's nails and stop them from scratching themselves. Like many new moms, I was totally paranoid of hurting my baby when cutting his nails. However, he was born with sharp nails which needed to go. This nail filer was perfect. It comes with different filing pads for different baby ages and it worked like a charm. I tested it out on my own finger first and there was no way it would hurt baby. So much better than a regular file or nail clippers because it not only shortened the nail but it also buffed it so it wasn't sharp. I would recommend this to all new mommies/daddies.
