We bought it for our two kittens, who LOVE running after toys attached to the line!
We attach a lightweight cat toy to the fishing line, then we cast it and off they both run to chase it down. Then, we get to do the ’lazy’ part and just reel it in, instead of having to walk over to retrieve the toy. And, of course, they chase it again when we reel it in, too!
Our little girl has gotten too clever and goes after the fishing line to chew on it, in order to get at the cat toy attached. So, when we aren’t playing with them, we have to HIDE the fishing pole, but that’s OK! We love having a ‘lazy’ way to play ‘fetch’ with them, and they just love chasing everything…so it’s a ‘win-win’!
