love2shop smart!: OMG! I was so surprised by the size and heft of this massive jar of mustard! We DO LOVE Zatarain's Creole mustard and typically purchase in the smaller package. But, when I saw this large jar and determined that it was a good buy...I went for it! Since it is for our home use, for convenience, I'm saving my older smaller squeeze jar packaging of this same mustard and will be refilling them from the new jar.. Once the giant jar has been opened, it WILL need to be stored it in my garage refrig which is fine. Great buy and only a slight inconvenience to be sure we ALWAYS have our favorite mustard on hand!

W. Simpsen: This Creole mustard has a very nice flavor. It is not too tangy and offers a punch with other spices. It certainly reminds me of the foods I've eaten when in New Orleans. I like it on sandwiches of any kind. It adds some variety to the Dijon mustard I usually have. I've also used this mustard in cooking. It is great with chicken and vegetables. I like it with mushrooms too as sort of a sweet and sour recipe.
This is a huge quantity of mustard. While the expiration date is over a year away, I like to use it within a few weeks of opening it. Because of this, I have frozen about half of the container. I put quantities in an ice cube tray and I once frozen, store the cubes in a bag for when I need them for cooking. I don't think thawed mustard will have the same consistency, so I don't bother trying to emulsify the ingredients again. For cooking though, in which I am mixing up everything, it works well.

It's absolutely great with ham and turkey so far. ( I didn't have a wide selection at the time)
. It's very strong, and has a bit of a strong taste of horseradish. This is a very good mustard for lending it's flavor to roast beef, and ham. It's still being tried with whatever I can find. I only received it yesterday. I'll keep you posted. This mustard has a lot of potential. It's on the strong side, which I like it, some may not like that, but I find it a nice change from the yellow stuff. I think that the next time I'll try it on a hot dog. I think that it'll be great! Luckily, I have some just waiting for this experiment. I think that the they'll be great. Maybe not too much mustard on the dogs though. G'night all!
