Simge: I ordered because two of my ear were closed. I was scared to apply alone but I am clumsy that was the only reason I did not trust myself lol. I think you can do easily by yourself, it has a pen to point the perfect spot and wipes to sanitize before applying. Earrings are amazing, I am allergic to almost everything on fake jewelry, but earrings did not bother me at all. I swim
in the sea and the pool and they were just still fine! No itching or infection happened. And also the gold colour did not fade.

New Owner: Absolutely worth the DIY home experience ✨💯 Keep in mind, I focused on my lobes only--not the cartilage. Use common sense and have freshly soaped ears and hands, and use those rubbing alcohol pads to treat the spot, beforehand, and LEAVE your fresh piercing ALONE! Best piercing experience in my almost 50 years?!! True story.

Jessi: Ok, I’m actually super impressed!! I think all of us has heard how bad piercing guns are and ya, ya, ya… but man they get results! I pierced my 2nd and 3rd lobe holes with these. It took me so long to work up the courage and… IT DIDNT HURT! I obviously felt it but it was more than manageable!! And I was able to do my 2nd one without the big song and dance. If you’re debating it for your ear lobes, just do it!

EK: This was the easiest ear piercing kit ever! I could have saved hundreds of dollars if I used this kit instead of taking my daughter to Claire’s and etc. to get her ears pierced. She would get infections from their “gold” earnings and/or lose them after a week bc the backing wasn’t a screw on. This was so easy to use, it already came with earrings that have a screw on back and as soon as you pierce the ear the backing is automatically on there. We used some ice on her ear (front and back) to numb for a few minutes and it took less than 2 Seconds to use this. It was so fast it didn’t give her time to freak out. Came with a pack of 4, alcohol wipes as well as earrings already inside so no set up needed, and each one is disposable. The earrings are great quality and caused no infection or irritation. I’ve pierced my own ears as well as her friends. I’ve repurchased it 3 times already.

Our daughter was wanting a second set of holes and I was wanting to turn my helix piercing into a triple helix. We originally were just going to use a needle and ice as my husband did with my third set of holes. But we got to looking around, and found an entire world of piercing tools we didn't know existed! We went with these because of the 4 pack, the excellent price, and the amount of 5 star reviews. They worked flawlessly! Even in the cartilage where I thought they might have trouble. They're shockingly efficient. Every one of the piercings is straight, and it was virtually painless. Like surprisingly so. It was so much easier than making an appointment, going to the mall (which is a 40 minute drive for us), filling out paperwork like you're adopting a child, paying $200 (that would be for both of us), then having a stranger puncture you, hoping they get them straight. Bayern11: I purchased these to pierce my ears and my daughters ears. Worked well. I pierced my own and the only challenge I had was trying to get the post for the piercing aligned exactly where I wanted it. However, when piercing another person's ears it was very easy with no problems aligning on the spot. Although the earrings are inexpensive they don't look bad or feel bad. Please note, if you have sensitive ears these earrings could be a problem. My daughter has very sensitive ears and the earrings led to her ears being infected. We were prepared for that to happen and replaced them immediately with large post earrings we knew she was not allergic too. Overall, great product for the DIY ear piercer.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: These work brilliantly... My daughter decided she was finally ready for piercing her ears so I looked around at the cost at peds office (they wanted $150!) Tattooists round here are still closed for the most part so I decided to look on amazon (i mean it’s my go to for anything!!)
Great reviews lead me to these. I bought the pack of 4 in case I inadvertently broke one and ended up with my daughter walking around with one earring! I Really need not have worried as it was so simple and painless to use and I’m talking first hand experience here, because my daughter started to chicken out so I decided to show her how quick and easy it was by piercing my own ear!

My tips and tricks would be that you need to be mindful of the nature of these being single use, parts come off as the device retracts after piercing (which is supposed to happen!) so no, it’s not broken.
Also I couldn’t freely move the device away from the ear straight away as one of the plastic components that falls away, didn’t. It was easily remedied by simply holding the device still and gently guiding the back out. So DONT RUSH TO REMOVE THE DEVICE would be my biggest advice.

KenKen: This was wayyy easier than I thought and worked great! Didn’t hurt! I did the top part of my earlobe. I was afraid to do my cartridge, as I read you can cause serious damage if you are not careful. So, I stuck with my lobe! Love it!
I sterilized the whole kit for three minutes before I did it. Would highly recommend re-sterilizing everything with alcohol! So far so good, not even sore.
**Update a year later- perfection! Remember to clean with alcohol for a couple weeks daily. The gem is actually really shiny and I still use it all the time! I would also recommend watching a video on how to pierce your ears with a kit, if you haven’t done it before. You can use a pen to mark the spot and make sure you’re over the spot that you want to pierce. Again, I would not recommend doing this in the Cartlidge. Mine was the top part of my lobe. All the other piercings I had done professionally including my forward helix.
