Yodo Ultralight 2-Person Tent for Backpacking and Camping

Dave: Used it bike camping, portable and light. A little difficult to assemble alone as the poles need to be bent. But comfortable. I did it quickly with fading light , but yes fairly easy assembly. Good value for the money.

Sarah MollieSarah Mollie: I recently took a 2 week road trip from Tennessee to Nevada, and spent the majority of my nights camping. This tent held up AMAZINGLY; for the price, I was shocked by its durability. It is very compact and lightweight when packed, and surprisingly roomy. I’m only 5’1”, but I never felt cramped and had plenty of room, even with my dog, her bed, and all of my gear. There aren’t any compartments or pockets on the inside, but there is a hook on the ceiling of the tent that you could hang a lightweight lantern or battery operated fan from. Ventilation leaves a bit to be desired, but I spent most nights with the outer doors open but the screen ones zipped for more airflow (it was early-mid August and HOT) so I was fine. Speaking of weather, the only flaw with this tent is the water resistance, but I took some preliminary steps upon reading some reviews to ensure I never ran into any issues. Before I left for my trip, I purchased a couple cans of waterproofing spray and a tube of waterproof silicone sealant. I sealed every seam and went over the entirety of the tent twice with the spray, making sure that every inch (including both sides of the rainfly for good...

KimKim: I was a little bit skeptical about this tent given the price and that most lightweight backpacking tents cost way more than this. However I am very pleasantly surprised. This tent is great. One of the first things I did was spray it with a silicon waterproof spray. As you can see in some of the photos the spray did leave some streaks. I figured I would show that part. No one else really noticed the streaks though, so they aren't as noticeable as I thought they were. I'm in Southern California so it doesn't rain a lot here, but I wanted to waterproof it just in case.

My biggest concern is having a tent that can hold up in the unforgiving desert, especially when it's really windy and cold. I have not tested those conditions yet, but I will by the end of the year. I will update this review with how this tent holds up in Joshua Tree.

So far I have used this tent twice. Once at an established campground where it worked great, and once on a backpacking trip in Cleveland National Forest. MD: I have not used this tent outside yet as I purchased for my kids who wanted to have a tent to use indoor use. It is huge! fits 2 adults but can fit 3/4 kids. The tent is super lightweight and comes in a compact pouch, it is also easy to assemble. It can get very hot inside however as there is no real venting system (i.e on side) only air that comes through is from the main entry area. I can't comment on weather it is waterproof or how it withstands outdoors.

Double-D: This tent is perfect if you are looking for something that is affordable, lightweight and extremely easy to assemble. It is stored in a small carrying bag and goes together very quickly with minimal effort. I also like that it includes a roof vent that can be easily removed to help the tent cool down in direct sunlight. Another nice feature is the small loop at the high point of the roof to hang a light.

Michael: I like that it’s not taking a lot of space in my car and it’s a lightweight, easy to assemble even only one person. What I’m not happy about is that it gets moisture inside specially on the sidings and I think it’s very common in almost all of the tents.

CoopCoop: Pretty decent and lightweight tent for the cost. Hammocks are very situational and a bit of a pain for me so I wanted a small tent. The setup was pretty quick but probably optimal with 2 people. Packed up, the tent is very small and I was able to attach it to the bottom of my pack. It didn't ship with have any damage but the material is pretty lightweight so I can see how it could get damaged easily with lots of use. At about 6ft I was concerned I'd have to sleep diagonally but it fit my height pretty well and my sleeping bag, as well as a bit of side space for my pack and gear. Screen door closes completely but outer door does not seal at bottom.

Being a first time tent buyer I had assumed all tents were rainproof, especially seeing it built being pretty much seamless. Had a rude awakening though at about midnight when I felt the bottom of my sleeping bag soaked. I don't know if the material is porous but it was like the whole tent was having a constant cold sweat in the rain. The tent performs pretty well outside of these conditions but if there's a chance of rain definitely set up a tarp above or have a backup plan.

Amazon Customer: Easy to assemble nice and compact when packed away very lightweight and paper thin going to use In my caravan awning for extra sleeping accomadation could only use outside if you are guaranteed no rain as it is not waterproof .

This tent is incredibly light. It is a small 2 person tent that weights 3.0 pounds. I later looked for a "better" backpacking tent, but have been unable to find anything lighter. The one person bivy-sacks tend to weigh slightly more than this does. Most 2 person tents are closer to 5 lbs.

However, this tent is thin and not durable. It is also not very waterproof. I spray it with weatherseal before every trip. This is not a tent for extreme weather.

A 3 lbs tent for under $30!!! :-)

This very affordable tent is super light and easy to carry. Most tents this light are much more expensive. It is easy to setup but not very sturdy. This would be a good kids tent, or a backpacking tent for mild weather.

This is NOT a big tent. I am 5' 10" and my head and feet touched both ends of the tent at the same time.

Since several other reviewers said this tent was not that waterproof, I put a good coat of weather-seal on it. But it still leaked (some) in a medium-light rain. I would not want to be in this tent for a major storm.
