Yamaha YDP103 Arius Series Digital Home Piano

Amazon Customer: I'd like to give it a 5 star but the upper keys don't sound very good. At least for me. But for a beginner it's great. The assembly was a little harder than it should be (according to my daughter). I think it sounds very nice for the most part. Has a lot of features that I've played with but haven't used yet. I am not a pianist. I am not unhappy.

Abhishek Chatterjee: I love this piano. It is beautiful, it is capable, and it makes my apartment feel like a concert hall. I accidentally shipped it home instead of my apartment, and we almost broke our backs loading it into the car and carrying it up to my apartment. Do not try assembling this on your own, because the console weighs a ton, and you don’t want to drop it.

Lela GitchelLela Gitchel: Sound quality is excellent. You have different piano settings, so having the grand piano setting is a plus. The sustain pedal when playing is awesome. So much better than the cheaper end digital piano. You can lay the music stand down when not in use.
It was packed very well. I was a little worried when I saw the condition of the box-- nothing was cracked, scratched or gouged. I'm 50 and was able to put this together myself.

Mrs. Hemingway: I love this piano. I love the sound of it (like a grand piano), the feel and weight of the keys, and the fact that it is very affordable and doesn't require upkeep (tuning) like a regular piano. I can move it easily from one room to another. It is truly a quality instrument. The color of the rosewood is dark and looks classical and tasteful. I would definitely recommend this piano and am so happy that I finally purchased it. It came quickly from Amazon (in just days--as opposed to other stores that would have had me waiting for 4-6 weeks).

FranciscoFrancisco: El producto que me enviaron es obviamente usado y lo venden como nuevo, tiene muchos detalles: Piezas sucias, raspadas, el contenido todo desordenado (no como cuando es nuevo y cada cosa está en su caja por dentro).
Además que viene muy mal empaquetado. Una parte hasta tenía piedras.

Rob S: I love this piano!! I debated whether to buy this entry-level model or some of the more high-end (and expensive) models in the Yamaha line, but I'm really happy with this choice. It's a really solid piece of musical furniture, a full keyboard with a great feel, and it has all I need to learn and practice. I plugged it into my Mac, downloaded the MIDI drivers from Yamaha, fired up GarageBand, and now I'm truly enjoying working my way through lessons. The interactive feedback of the MIDI interface is really helpful. Finding my favorite piano pieces in keystroke notation on YouTube has added a whole new level of playing in just a few days. For anyone who's new to piano or - like me - returning after many years, this is a great choice. (Tip - I watched a YouTube video on setting up a Yamaha YDP piano, which made it easy to do. There are instructions on the box, but there's nothing like a piano professional walking you through the steps. Probably took about 10 minutes to set up, max).
