Huy: Good sound quality. Sounds beautiful. Keysā pressure are very fun once used to it. Heavy 30 lb. Sturdy enough to smash on. Minimal adjustment. Pedal included is able to clear messy noise by lifting foot slight off (sensitive and does what other pedals donāt do). Lower keys are louder while the higher keys are subtle (gotta hit harder). Something about the stringsā lengths on acoustic piano has that characteristic as they are played.
Tip: Set volume low-mid, key sensitivity to soft, and play HARD and heavy! Get it! They are hammers. Then adjust to liking as you harmonize with the sounds and emotions.
Tip: the electronic keyboard 2 voice can play some cool sounds when the keys are hit harder.

Carrie WhatleyCarrie Whatley: I have played piano for 18 years now and recently moved into my own place. I desperately missed having a piano to play on a daily basis, but I do not have the space for a real piano. I did a SIGNIFICANT amount of research before settling on this Yamaha digital piano, because I wanted a high quality instrument that also did not hugely break the bank. As a professional musician, here is why I decided on the P71:
-The weighted keys on this instrument truly feel like the real thing. Iāve played on āplasticyā keyboards before and nothing is more unsatisfying if youāve played on a real instrument throughout your life. The P71 feels just as genuine as playing a real piano. In fact, depending on piano brand, it feels smoother. The touch sensitivity is wonderful as well, and also adjustable to your liking!
-The sound is beautiful with a large volume range. I especially love the way the bass rings out with a gorgeous fullness. The higher octaves seem to be a little thinner, but thatās to be expected since itās up the keyboard.
-There is so much variety on this instrument to play with! There are many customizable options on this piano and I havenāt even...

Caleb Hall: I studied piano for many years as a kid and didn't have access to a piano for a long time once I moved away from home. I bought this to get back into casually playing. I have played on keyboards much nicer than this one, but overall it gets the job done at a pretty competitive price.
The keys are a little noisey but nicely weighed. The action is smooth, though on the light side as Yamahas tend to be whether electric or acoustic. Anyone used to a grand would find this perfectly serviceable.
My main gripe with this is that the built-in speakers are horrid. Definitely plan on having a comfortable pair of headphones or an amplifier system to go with this if you care about hearing what your right hand is doing. It's a shame because through headphones the default piano setting is very nicely voiced, but the onboard speakers are super bass-heavy and quiet.
It's very affordable though, so if you're looking for a solid full-sized keyboard you could certainly do worse.
