Bobby: I do like the extra storage that we can use for things that aren't used that often, or when we have guest over (keyboard, mouse, game pads, extra remotes, etc.) The construction is pretty sturdy overall, with no worry about things bowing or breaking thus far. The shelves under are also pretty solid if you want to put books or other things in there (or if you have cats they can chill out down there too).

The one thing I was was better was lifting the table top to get to the storage. The tabletop itself is sturdy; however, when you're opening it, the springs/arms on either side are not connected, so they work independently and may open uneven. We've had one time where one of the springs popped off of the arm inside the storage area when we were opening it. I don't think it would shoot out and hurt anyone or have enough strength to do any major damage in there, but still something to think about. Whenever we open it now, we take it a little slow to make sure the sides are pulled up roughly the same time to avoid the issue.

Even with that, it's a pretty solid piece in my opinion, and as long as you don't rush to open the top you opening and closing the top should not...

The only reason I didn’t give the item five stars is because some of the steps of the building instructions were missing, and some of the fasteners were of mediocre quality. But neither of these caused any major issues. I’m very happen with the purchase.

HGUnified: I bought this coffee table for my living room and I am very happy with it. It is a great piece of furniture that has multiple functions and looks stylish.

CuppateaCuppatea: This is a nice enough coffee table for $150. I think the springs will be better than a hydraulic type of lift top. It seems wobbly when you bring the top up or put it down, but so far so good. I really wish they used better quality stickers that came off easier. You have to use a hair dryer to heat them up to remove them or they will leave a sticky residue and you'll have to scrape at it, and scratch up the finish. Also there is nothing to cover up the large metal screw holders. Usually furniture would have some kind of brown sticker or plastic to hide the hardware, but this didn't come with that. See the pic for example. So for the exposed hardware and stickers I removed a star.

Amazon Customer: I'd been looking for a lift-top table for a long time, when we decided on buying this one. The color is a nice soft espresso, and the grain is consistent throughout. It took my husband and a friend less than half an hour to assemble. Definitely recommend putting it together with a second person. You need to sets of hands to hold the sides, as well as hold the lid while someone else drills the support arms in place. It just went faster, and much easier with the two of them doing it together. It looks great, and the storage is awesome! I bought 3 baskets from a local Dollarama to add even more storage. We love it!! Is heavy, real wood so youll bd happy about that. It's a great price for what you get. It's sturdy, relatively simple to put together (seriously, just follow the directions lol), and looks great in our livingroom. Thank you!

Miles D Leslie: Realize, this is not a heirloom piece of furniture. With that in mind this is a decent lift top coffee table.
A few notes:
First off, the top was a little banged up under one of the corner protectors. Not their fault, fault of UPS which doesn't always take the best care with heavy furniture boxes. Not end of the world now but I can see it being a problem down the road.
Everything is labeled and easy to understand. not too many pieces. Plenty of hardware to do the job.
I did it all with a Philips head, manual screwdriver! It can be done and I recommend manual as power drills can get a bit too powerful and you end up ruining a predrilled hole or fitting.
Next, the instruction booklet is mostly useless, I used the video in the item description from the Amazon order page. Being able to scroll back and forth, pause, rewind, made all the difference in the world. I can't say it enough, use the video instead of the booklet.
Helpful tip, it doesn't clearly show it in the video but put the springs on BEFORE you attach the brackets to the top. Super easy, no trying to stretch it and getting pinched...worked perfectly!
Did the entire thing by myself in just about an hour....

SophieSophie: Suite aux commentaires, j'étais inquiète que la table soit difficile à monter. Par contre, les instructions étaient claires, tout est ordonné avec des lettres, il y a de la quincaillerie en extra (vis). Cela m'a prise 1h15 seule incluant la préparation. J'ai utilisé les coussins du divan pour tenir la pièce du dessus lors du montage final (voir photo), sinon nécessite 2 personnes. L'emballage était adéquat ; il y a 3 endroits avec de très légers bris qui sont cachés sous les compartiments, donc non visibles (voir photo avec encerclé rouge). J'ai gardé les 4 coins protecteurs sur la table. Dans l'ensemble, je suis très satisfaite. Le mécanisme est légèrement raide (aurait pu être plus "smooth" et il faut tenir les 2 extrémités pour que ça fonctionne bien. J'ai ajouté des paniers trouvés également sur Amazon.

Alexx LeVasseur: I have a 2nd smaller living room that I have a small love seat as the "couch" so everything is smaller in size. I had searched around for a lift top coffee table for a while and found that the really expensive versions online and at local furniture stores had tops that lifted far too high and would not be a comfortable sitting situation for eating or using my laptop while seated, at least for my love seats sitting height. Because I am OCD I always research things to the point I'm exhausted and many times decide after days/weeks of research that I probably don't need a particular item. I knew I wanted something for this room so I continued my research. I found this exact same table at another online vendor, they even used the same pictures as this vendor on Amazon, at double the price. I had almost ordered it from that vendor before I decided to try and see what Amazon had to offer.

Initially I was hesitant because I thought perhaps the other vendor had a different manufacturer and possibly a better quality...but again, same pictures used on both sites. Granted, they did "technically" show a different manufacturers name but at this point I am thinking they are using the...
