Amazon Customer: We just ordered this firepit and assembled it. It is beautiful, with the exception that the lid (which is supposed to make the top function like a tabletop) doesn't fit! No matter what we do, we cannot make the lid fit and push down so it sits flush against the top.
I will update my review once we use the firepit for the first time!

Bill Aycock: Pretty simple to put together. Looks great with the glass top! The cover fits like a glove, which I really like and doesn't blow off in a heavy wind like some do. One important thing! Make sure you hand tighten the little brass nut on the gas feed line underneath that connects to the thermocouple up top. Mine would not stay lit after releasing the gas control knob, and after holding a long time and finally getting it to stay lit, mine would eventually go out again. This little nut evidently was leaking air in the line and prevent the thermocouple from detecting the hot flame. Now, when lighting I only have to hold the knob in 5-10 secs, and it stays lit!
