Jonathan Bater: Seems like a fair quality caulk gun. But the smoothing tool was no where in the box. Which for a basic tool. They are really handy to have. And I am very disappointed with the distribution.
To forget such a cheap tool as if the caulking process is not a mess. Blasphemy

BicyclingVeganBicyclingVegan: I can't believe I've been using the cheap-o metal one from the local hardware store. This one is a zillion X better! Plus, the edger tool really lets you figure out how much you're wasting so you can make your clean-up a lot easier.
What do I recommend? 1. Caulking a small area first, trying out the edger (the triangular red tool) so you can see just how much less caulk you actually need for the edge you want. Not only will you waste less but your clean up will be SO much easier. 2. Don't forget to close your caulk tube with a piece of masking tape when you're done-- every single time. You'll never dry out another tube of caulk ever again.
Great tool. Easy to use. Inexpensive. Comes with multiple edging tools. It *really* does stop the overflow when you're not squeezing the tube. It's worth every penny.
