Edith Reager: I want to prevent a throw rug from moving around on top of a flat wall to wall carpet. This worked for about two weeks but then started losing it's grip. I had to peel it off and throw it away.

PhotoGraphicsPhotoGraphics: When you live in a house with all hardwood floors throw rugs become a fact of life. And keeping them from slip-sliding away becomes a hard reality. Most of the throw rugs I buy don’t have rubberized backing, as they tend to be handmade or craft rugs, so long ago I started getting those sticky waffle pads that are supposed to keep throw rugs from slipping. They are not easy to find as few places sell them and if they do their stock is very limited. And they cost far more than they should, in the range of ten bucks for a small size. But the worst part is they only stay sticky for so long and then they become useless.
So when I saw this as a featured item I figured why not, one roll is about the same as only one waffle pad. There were some positive reviews and some at the other extreme but I gave it try.
The good news is that it does what it should. I had no problems with it sticking to a variety of rug backings and to my dry-mopped but not otherwise specially cleaned floors.
