Jlew: They seem well made and designed to keep things from rolling. However, I bought these for a 500 pound piano to keep our vinyl plank flooring from getting dents due to all the weight being on 4 small areas where the wheels touch the floor. These are rubber and the center where the load sits is pretty thin so it will not keep the floors from being damaged due to the weight. Probably does protect against sliding and rolling. You need something solid to disperse the weight for heavy items.

Kurt: Needed these for my mother, who is in a care facility. These seem to nicely stop her bed from rolling on the flat surfaces, as she struggles to get up.

I first tried the 'flat' version of this, which you can get at Canadian Tire. Other reviews indicated that the flat ones work on beds, but they did not. The bed would roll of of them.

NettyBoo: I bought this because my mother-in-law is in a hospital bed and we have hardwood floors. The locking mechanism on the wheels of the bed locked, but the bed would move with the slightest push (which makes taking care of her a bit challenging). These cups stop the wheels from moving PERIOD. I mean the bed will not budge an inch now, which is awesome. However, we had to make sure where we wanted the bed positioned, before we put the cups on it. Now, it doesn't move at all. It works as intended and I am very happy!

MBA, SET: I'm not sure if the at explained this, the product description, but I didn't notice it when I bought these. I wanted something into which to put the rollers on a daybed. There's a bed frame on the bottom that slides under the twin bed mattress on the top which can be used as a seat, like a sofa. Then your roll out the bed underneath pop it up and it doubles the twin bed in size or it can be used separately from that part so you have two twin beds. I wanted these to protect the hardwood floor but these were meant to keep the bed from rolling or whatever you put into them whatever wheels you are putting into them so that device does not roll a bout. That is not what I wanted. I wanted something that would slide and yet still hold the wheels in it so the wheels would not roll out onto the floor. Again, I am not taking the time to go back to the product description to find out if it was my mistake or if the product description did not make that clear when I ordered these. I have some wood cups with carpet on the bottom, I have two sets of four of those into which I have two office chairs on rollers with the rollers in the cups. those cops were made for rollers like on an office chair...
