Write in Style with the PARKER Jotter Special Edition Ballpoint Pen

Carlo Merli: Ho acquistato questa penna biro da aggiungere alla mia collezione di stilografiche perchè è molto bella, ha uno stile classico e mi piace anche il colore. Oltretutto è piuttosto economica. Al contrario non è così valido il refill che contiene l'inchiostro. La struttura della penna la rende molto maneggevole e il pulsante che aziona la punta è molto morbido e piacevole da premere.

Jim: Got this pen as my first intro into all metal pens and there's no wonder why this is the industry standard. Very happy with the feel, weight, style, and especially the clicker. I really wish they would make a jotter 2.0 that would take modern refills like the Pilot G2. They have quality pens at a reasonable price.

Wayland: ***Update***received the new pen and it does work, thus the upgrade to 4 stars. It’s light, which isn’t a deal breaker, but I do prefer more heft in my writing instruments. I’d buy another Jotter, but not necessarily a special edition like this. That said, a good writing instrument, sharp lines, no bleed through, and feels comfortable in the hand. If you don’t receive one that’s faulty, and you like a pen with style, then this may be the pen for you.***
Looks Maybe it's my luck and the item I received was merely defective. If so I'll edit this, but for now my view of this pen is it is mechanically worthless. The pen arrived yesterday and wrote smoothly, felt comfortable in my hand, and in my opinion is a very beautiful daily writing instrument. This morning while writing the pen ceased functioning, not the ink cartridge, but the mechanical button no longer worked. The nib would be pushed out, but would no longer retract when the button was depressed. I have initiated a return via Amazon for a replacement and my hope is this was a one off defect and not systemic of a quality control problem with Parker.

Sakib: I’ve had a jotter before. Unfortunately, that one was made in India and had shoddy quality control. Rough glide and clicks, cheap feeling material. However, this one is made in France with French ink included. Quite a smooth pen and ink combo. Its on the lighter side though. So to make it heavier, I took the ink cartridge and wrapped it in clear tape to add a little more weird to the pen and a heft to the click.

What I like -
The gothic design is embossed and aesthetically is very satisfying/pleasing to look and feel.
It is possibly a collectible if they stop manufacturing it in a few years. In the future, I may go ahead and purchase the full set.

What I do not like
It is a bit lighter than what I would personally prefer not much different from other jotters ( for reference)
The price point is still a bit higher in my belief but not unacceptable.
It is smooth enough but if you have been spoiled by using ballpoint pen refills of higher-end pen companies then you may find t tad bit sticky.

colgangirl : I am very happy with this cool series as it added a neat flavour to my existing jotters. This new jotter is much lighter than previous ones and they have a cool dsdign whichnive never seen before. Despite the weight difference I still recommend these pens as they are made in France and still seem durable.

colgangirl : I've written a review about this series and I'm happy overall. The only thing that I've mentioned before is the weight of the pens as they have changed from previous models, they are much lighter. I find they are better for hand fatigue.

colgangirl : The pen may be lighter than the previous versions but it's still worthwhile. I find I get less hand cramping. My son is a southpaw and finds these version of pens easier to handle and write with for a longer period of time without his hand cramping up. As for the look of the pens, they are truly interesting and I like them.

colgangirl : A little expensive but I love the red coloured and the design. The London Series is really cool but again worth the price...not really, but you are getting Parker quality. I figured I wanted the series so the price was not an issue. Its lightweight compared to previous Jotter versions but are easier on the hand for writing.

Kim: I have been a fan of the Parker Jotter since my father owned a complete set in silver back in the 60s. I was thrilled to have been given a Jotter as a gift several years ago and have not felt the same about any other ballpoint since.

This special edition Jotter is beautiful. The etching actually helps me with the grip and the red upper part makes it even more distinctive. I prefer a medium blue ballpoint, and the Parker Quink cartridge writes well.

Not to sound like a pen snob, but while others carry crappy plastic pens, or cheap-looking pens with marketing slogans, I am pleased I can produce an elegant and classy writing instrument that hopefully signals professionalism to the superiors with whom I work.
