JKA: I liked these for the winter - they kept my feet warm. Not rough but not extra soft. Ok weight for winter.

TRG: I was looking for soft, super warm socks for winter. These socks are not at all soft & no warmer than any other sock.
They are also prone to gather little fuzz balls, which is very annoying.

Nicole Fors: I really am pleased with these socks. I thought they were so warm for a thinner wool sock. I like them because I can wear them without looking like I am wearing big bulky wool socks. Plus, the colors and appearance of them are very nice.
