Tam Has: Seem to run small even with thin socks on and sitting down they were too tight when I tried them on and I plan on wearing them with wool socks. Have to send them back for a larger size. Order at least 1/2 size larger than normal
Also this item is marked as PRIME and says eligible for returns or exchanges but then when you go to return, it's not like other prime returns where you just take the item to the UPS store and have them scan the code, they make you print out a return label and ship it back AND deduct $6.99 for the label from the refund. And they don't offer exchanges. You have to place a new order if you need another size or whatever so either way you have to either pay the return shipping OR be out the $6.99 even if you are buying anther pair because of their sizing being off. How is charging the customer return shipping still considered PRIME?????

John B.: We bought these for my wife so this is her review: These are very attractive boots in the box. They look like they won't make my long skinny feet look manly but, alas, they did. The shoe part is made of a flexible material instead of hard stiff winter boot material so the front of the boot just flexes wide. The leather is stitched to this flexible material and this part of the boot flares out and slouches a little giving the appearance of fat cankles. No amount of cinching of the laces helped so my skinny feet just kept sliding forward. On a positive note, the inside of the boot was very warm. The insole was moderately cushioned and has just a little arch support so it was moderately comfortable. They came up very high on my short calves. I feel like I could walk in deep snow with these and stay warm and dry. I wanted to like these but I couldn't get past the wide forefoot and slouchy cankles and loose fit. I will be returning these. I ended up buying a very expensive pair of Ugg boots that are made like a traditional snow boot with the right combination of warmth, snugness, comfort and flexibility with walking, yet didn't make my size 9 foot look manly.

Bertie: Bought these boots to wear at the barn, for warmth and support for my feet. I'm a size 6 and had to return for size 7...the 6 was way to small. They are not bad for support, but I'm going to buy inserts for added cushioning. And within an hour my feet were starting to get cold....we haven't had any really cold days yet so I don't know what they will be like when we get to -15C or -20C

joyce vandyke: I like the style of the boot. I have no problem getting them on or off. Should buy a half size bigger for thicker socks. I wear a 8 1/2 and ordered a 9. The size was perfect for a heavy sock. They are very comfy. The only thing I did not like about the boot is that there does not seem to be much cushion on the bottom of the boot. I was hoping there would have been some sort of cushion insert. The sides are cushioned but not the bottom of the boot. lol, Put a thin insert in the boot and made a big difference in comfort. It did make the boot a bit snugger so am debating about ordering a 1/2 size bigger, the boot still feels like there is enough room, I can wiggle my toes does not feel extremely tight. I have not tested them for warmth yet. Will update once I wear them outside for a while. Over all so far I like the boot. I wanted a good warm winter boot for Michigan weather. Bought the Kamik boot last year and paid 90.00 and they were not warm at all. Will update later. Update: Love the boots. Stylish and warm. Would buy again. Going to order a different color back in stock. Very well made boot. A bit expensive but worth a good quality boot. Get what you pay for. LOL

Very Honest Reviewer: These kept me super warm and dry in 10* snowy weather of Utah this winter. They also have fantastic traction and they look great on with jeans or leggings. I am VERY happy with my purchase.
I will say, I am a size 9 in most regular wear shoes but a 9.5 in sneakers and boots. I bought these in a 9.5 hoping they matched my other brands. They were a little snug with heavy socks but I think a 10 would have been too large. They did seem to stretch a bit and my feet were never too tight that they got numb and/or cold. If you have a wide foot I would size up or look at something different.
Another thing I saw in the comments was that the lack of a side zipper makes them tough to take on and off. My 2 cents, take the time to unlace FULLY. Like unlace so they just fall out of the top hole or maybe you need to unlace that top hole and loosen everything all the way down through the ankle and arch. They slide on and off really easily and I was able to just throw them on and not tie for a quick trip into the snow with the dog or running to the store. Lacing them as needed is simple from there.

Loves_2_read: I usually take a 8.5 or a 9 in boots and because I know The North Face runs a bit small, I ordered these in a 9.5. Plenty of room for thick socks but not so big that your foot slides around. They’re stylish and warm. Was -5 the other morning and my feet were toasty. I’ve also been out to do snow removal (18” of heavy snow) and my feet were dry. I expect these to last quite a few seasons as long as they’re stored properly. The only things I don’t like about them is the arch support is a bit lacking. I have high arches and if I walk any considerable distance, I’m really missing the support. I might see about adding insoles. Also, the sole is so thick that I have a hard time feeling the gas pedals in my car. I’ve gotten a bit more used to driving with these on, but it’s not my favorite. Certainly wouldn’t wear these if I was driving into Boston or other heavy traffic. I think that if you’re looking for a solid boot for being out in the snow, these are a great choice. For everyday boots where you’re going to walk a lot or be driving in heavy traffic, you might find something else that would be better. Please vote if this was helpful!

Denisa Silhanova: Shoes arrived on time. When used, I found them a bit too heavy for long walks/hiking, I would advice them only in a very cold climate, where proper insulation is needed.

Niki Kaur ( Rajni Kalia): These are the best winter shoes brand. Very cosy, very warm and comfortable. Perfect for the Canadian winters. I usually buy UGG brand winter shoes but The North Face is also my favourite brand. Price is good and quality is good as well.
