Linda: The brim is enough to give full sun coverage. It is very comfortable and love the pony tail opening. I wear it for playing Pickleball and also wear it in my convertible. The strap keeps it securely on my head, plus the adjustable band.

A. Customer: I got two hats in different colors. One fit well, the other was snug (the reason for only 4 stars). I put the snug one on a hat stretcher, and it was fine. So, these hats function well as sun hats, and the ponytail opening is great. After much wear, it was time to wash it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find washing instructions anywhere. So I threw it in the washer with regular detergent (Era) and cold water. After the wash, I put it on the hat stretcher again, and I let it air dry. It's like new (except it fits better)! Yes, I would get another one. I just wish the sizing was consistent.
