Women's Sorel Emelie Chelsea Boot - Perfect for Everyday Wear

Grandma Vic: Wow, these are comfortable. They are a discontinued style. Sorel has Emilie II which are not as cute in my opinion. I like the two-tone color. Quarry is the gray color of river rocks.
I bought my normal size 8 and they fit perfectly. No heel slippage. They are a little stiff at first but not uncomfortably so. Very cushy foot bed. Cannot attest for the water resistance but the rains are coming soon enough. I imagine a person with a very high arch may have difficulties slipping these on. I also appreciate the fact they are low heeled. At my age and hip issues, there is no way I could trudge around in winter boots with a heel or even a wedge heel. Very pleased. I would buy another pair if they were not so expensive. I think they are priced higher than the original cost.

Amazon Customer: The boots are so perfect for all seasons, great with leggings, jeans. Waterproof, durable, quality. Great tread for walking. Not lined for winter, but I wore th last winter to go to work, dinner or whatever. Have a heavy duty pair of Sorel's that I use for high snow, and warmth. The boots are so comfortable.

Andrea R.: I have huge wide feet, size 10. Based on the reviews, I chose to go with regular 10, not wide. They actually fit my toes, no weird pinch or pressure points. As of right now- To give you a reference- I've never been able to wear Nike shoes, even wide sizes aren't big enough. Yeah I realize these are leather boots, not athletic shoes. I realize leather shoes actually stretch and break in, but I didn't expect these to actually fit, despite the reviews. I had on thin socks and they fit snugly right off the bat. I assume being leather they will stretch nicely for even more comfort. I am a little worried about the seam construction across the top of the shoe, but it didn't pinch or feel uncomfortable. It's just obvious it's there. If these perform like a true leather shoe- they will be the perfect fit.

The color is Cattail, it's gorgeous. I like a darker brown boot. I've forgotten how satisfying good quality shoes are. I've never tried Sorrel brand and this was an exciting find.

I can't wait for cooler weather to put these boots to use!

Ingrid Anderson: I love the look and fit of these boots. I went up to the next full-size to get the best fit. 8.5 to 9, as there is stitching across the top of the boot that is really stiff. The boots are leather and soften quickly with wear. Insoles are not very comfortable. I replace mine with a pair of Easyfeet insoles and these boots are the most comfortable boots I wear. They are waterproof, with a good sole thread, suitable for daily activities, come rain or snow.

PenGPenG: Like a lot of online shoe shoppers, I rely on the reviews before making a purchase. Especially on shoes priced $$. But everyone's anatomy and perspective is different. I consider my feet, NORMAL width? So I bought this boot in my regular boot/sneakers size which is size 7. I read a lot of the reviews stating it was too narrow, that sizing up didn't help, so I was hesitant but hopeful that it would fit me.

I wear 6.5 heels and 7 boots/sneakers. When standing on the floor, the widest part of my FOOT measures 9.5cm, is that regular or narrow? Who knows 🤷‍♀️. This BOOT in size 7 measures a little over 9cm at it's widest area.

I hold my breath and tried it on.. It is super comfortable. I was so relieved! I fell in love with these boots while browsing for ankle boots and it has been on my wish list for a while. The CATTAIL color looks more beautiful in person. It is not as dark. I have yet to take it outside for a stroll. I've only worn it indoors for ten minutes to try it out of the box. The support is very nice and the boots feel warm. I am still able to wear fluffy spa socks comfortably as the leather stretches while walking.

KCKC: Three things to know about my new favorite shoes:

1.) THE PRICE CHANGES. The pricing on these boots fluctuates a LOT!!!! I looked one day and saw them at $120, and the next week they were $55 - I've never purchased anything so quickly when I saw that dip in price. Run, don't walk! ;) So, don't get discouraged if they are above your budget, just keep an eye on the price and when/if this product dips below $70, GRAB THEM! (To be honest they are worth every penny even if I'd had to pay full price).

2.) TRUE TO SIZE - but only after they are broken in. I recommend buying them true to size. I bought my true-to-size 7.5 and they took about 4 hours to break in. I can wear thick socks with them, and they are so comfortable I almost forget I'm wearing shoes. If you have a bit of a wider foot, I recommend buying your true size and sizing up a half-size so that you can try them on and return the pair that doesn't fit best.

3.) COLOR - The Major/Black color is absolutely stunning in person, but keep in mind that the true color is nothing like the stock photo. I took the photo attached to this review -straight out of the box on the day they arrived - in fully natural...

DDH: I ordered this boot in 9.5 (my true size and size 40 in EU sz) and in a 10. Why? Because after I bought the 9.5 I wondered if a bigger size might give me extra toe box space for my right foot which seems to like a tiny bit more room. The 10 did not work as there was no extra width and it also slipped in the heal - clearly too big. The 9.5 fits well, but I'm finding I was wishing for just a scosh more room in the toe box. I do not have a wide foot nor a narrow foot. In my Birkenstock sandals, I do wear a 40N because their foot bed is so wide. These are great looking boots. I ordered the Major/Black (tan & black) color and love it. This color combo goes great with any color jean! I was expecting them to be just a little bit dressier, but am fine with the "country" look these have. I didn't award 5 stars because for the price of these boots when I'm wishing for bit more room, but can live with it. Also, wishing they had better than just moderate support, but again it's hard to find a boot that meets all your needs with paying over $200. Amazonshop: I first ordered these in the major/black colour and went half a size up based on reading other reviews online suggesting this (and due to other Sorel boots I've tried on that fit small). I 100% should have ordered my actual size. The major/black color is true to the colour in the photos - a definite khaki/green tinge but it's subtle. These required no breaking in and were so comfortable right out of the box. I ordered quarry/black in my usual size and they fit perfect and can accommodate thicker socks. The grey colour is also exactly as depicted in the photos. I love these boots and they stay dry in wet weather.
