Katymomof2: I loved my first pair of navy shorts, so I bought my second pair in gray. The fit was really different. The gray ran narrow in the thighs and seat. I wish I ordered a size up in the gray.
I noticed that my navy pair have a tag on the side Velcro pocket that says “rippers” and my gray pair does not have the tag. Other than the rippers tag, they are the same. I ordered a pair in black and the picture shows the ripper tag, so I’m hoping they fit like my navy pair. I’ll post another review when I get my black pair.

Gigi: These look very nice and I feel confident wearing them. I have very heavy legs and they cover my thighs perfectly. They do not dry as quickly as Id hoped but it wouldn’t stop me from buying again. I am short waisted so these come up a bit higher which if you have a long torso might be helpful to know ..I would say they run on the roomier side of being true to size. They have a nice pocket. Drawstring waist. They don’t ride up while walking
I will likely purchase again next year in black.

Donna M.: Followed the advice by sizing up to a 4X because of reviews. However, I noticed those who said they ran small, ordered the Black. I ordered the Navy and found the waist to be too large, but still doable, because my larger hips could hold them up. For reference, I wear a 3X, size 24 pants, I am 48 inches in natural waist, 58 inches in the hips, I weigh 265 lbs. I'll have my friend, who's a bit larger, and shaped differently than me, try them on. If they fit, and she likes them, I will gift them to her. Then I'll order them in a 3XL for myself! I still had extra room in the behind and abdomen, and I love the ample room for my large thighs. They are thin, light, and comfortable for everyday wear on a hot day, as well as the beach. If I order the 3X, I will leave another review with my measurements to let other ladies know what to expected for a proper fit. Overall I think these swim shorts are a great value for the product. I feel I've ordered the wrong size. If they don't fit my friend then I'm still going to keep them and use them. As a plus size girl, I know it's hard to get portions correct and still feel beautiful. These shorts are everything I wanted and expected from swimwear and more really! I do not normally purchase clothing that is not fulfilled by Amazon but I took a chance with this company and am soooo glad! These shorts are exactly the fit and feel I have been trying to find. They flex when I move but do not stretch out even after full day of wear. They are thin but not flimsy or see through. The waist has elastic on the back half and a velcro closure with modesty panel in front at opening as well as the traditional trunks string tie. The elastic is wide band so it doesn't dig in and also keeps the shorts in place when bending and sitting. There is one pocket at good location on side of right leg. When seated, items in pocket do not dig into hip. I think if you are lying on board, the pocket is far enough to the right to keep a key from digging in as well.
