Kitty: Love these boots. They are so warm and dry for the winter. I tried a lot of different sizes and styles and found that the mens one fit differently, they were either too big or small but the sizing on the women's ones were accurate. The mid calf worked better for me too, the tall ones are pretty tight around the calf so you either need to be wearing pretty baggy pants to wear over them or leggings or skinny pants to tuck it in. But I'm happy with these, it's been hard to find a truly water proof boot.

Amazon Customer: I owned a pair for 4 years, then the inside lining where the heal sits wore out and it stared to rub and hurt my heal with every step. I live in Alberta with temperatures under minus 20 up to minus 40 Celsius on some days. I had to put an extra felt insole in these boots, otherwise the cold from the bottom creeped up into my sole of the feet. My feet did not ever sweat in these boots and I wore them every day to do farm chores or go riding horses in them. These boots are most comfortable and warm. I ordered them again. Yes, they are pricey, but over 25 years, I have not found a better boot and that is the money worth to me. I’m also on my second pair of summer boots from Muck.

Jasmine flower: A bit too clumpy for me and not as light on the foot as I’d have liked. Slightly on the wide side but I have fairly narrow feet. Quality seemed really good and could tell they were made well. Even though I only tried them on in my living room with hard wooden floors, could feel the grip on the tread was not as good as I was expecting, but could be different outside on real terrain.
Had to return as not quite right overall.

Michi: Sehr gut in der Passform, sehr gut in der Handhabung.

Stephen Trask: I'm sure based on reports from friends these will keep my feet and sock dry on wet mornings. They seem to be well made but the quality of a shoe is never really known until the second year. Or the second week, if they are really bad. These seem more like a long term shoe but only time will tell.
One thing is certain: these do not run even remotely true to size. I bought three different styles and one of them isn't even true to the others. And they are all bigger than ever other shoe, sneaker, and boot that I own. And I have a lot of footwear!
I will try down a size, as they don't come in half-sizes, but my guess is those will be too small. It seems that rather than make half sizes, the manufacturer makes them all one half-sized bigger than listed. This still doesn't explain the boot that is a full inch longer than the other two but it does explain the sizing strategy.
If you wear a half-size, lucky you. Round down when you buy, not up. For the rest of us, get thick socks.

Tarah: I am currently experiencing my first winter in Northern Vermont. These boots have been AMAZING! I was on the fence about getting these or Bogs but these won out because I snagged then on sale for a bit cheaper than the Bogs. (My SiL has Bogs and she loves them too)
I've been outside in -20 temps and my feet have stayed comfortable with thin boot socks on. I cannot feel the cold radiating through my soles. The traction on ice and snow is amazing too. My feet have no issue gripping as I work and walk about outside. (We've got some serious ice build up so this is a major win point for me.)
They are actually pretty comfortable too. There's a cushy built-in liner. I've forgotten my normal "inside shoes" and have had to wear these all day as a result. Other than my feet being a little too toasty, my feet did not hurt after wearing them for 8 hours. ( For perspective: I'm a teacher, have broken about 8 toes over the course of my life, and am on my feet most of the day)
I will say when I first tried them on I thought I made a mistake and got the wrong size. I'm a 10 but usually have to size up to an 11 for comfort width/toe box. The boots felt too tight the first day I wore them,...

A. M.: Most of the time, reviews for winter/cold weather gear is written by people in the lower 48. "I wore these expedition weight wool socks around downtown Asheville when it was 30F and my feet stayed warm!" That's great, lady, but that's not a good review of an item like that.

Anyway, all that to say: this is a REAL WINTER REVIEW for these boots. As I'm writing this, it's -50F here in the middle of Alaska and these boots are still performing.

I've taken these things snowmachining and caribou hunting at -20 and I wore a thin liner sock and a thick wool blend on top of that, and my feet were pretty near perfect all day. I just wore them out for 4 hours at -50 to do a site inspection with just thick wool socks (no liner) and my feet are the only part of me that I can still feel. Let's be real, any longer exposure than that to those temps and the durability of these boots will be the least of your worries.

Another thing that strikes me about these is how comfortable they are. They don't force you to walk with an awkward gait like a lot of stiff boots do. They're just structured enough through the foot/ankle and just flexible enough through the shaft to make it easy...
