Dorothy Patterson: This shirt fits as expected. I like shirts that are a little long to cover my butt some and not be too fitting at the waist. I like the band at the bottom of the shirt and the button decorations to up dress it up some. The material is soft and thick enough for the summer. I have not washed it yet, but I usually hang up my good items to dry and not use a dryer.

Katie Strong: At 5'10ish, it is not nearly as long as the photo shows. 212lbs, size XXL, small chest. The band at the bottom is not very tight around my hips (I have rather large hips too). It is more of an "assessory" than a functional band. The hem sits mid back pocket- definitely NOT a tunic top. It's honestly about the length of a normal Tshirt. (I purchased XXL instead of xl hoping it would be longer, but I wonder how the top would fit differently in the hips if it were an xl- never any reviews for my height/weight, so I hoped to help someone else!)
The buttons are cute and they seem to be staying on well. The stitching on them allows them to toggle a bit, but it seems to be adequately attached to the shirt.
The v-neck is pretty high on this with a small chest. About 4" down from the nape of the neck.
The shirt is a soft knit, not transparent at all. It has ample stretch to it, but not the kind where you worry it will stretch out massively during wear or through multiple washes.
